Eine wunderschöne private Unterkunft auf dem Westufer von Assuan. Gebaut im nubische Stil bietet das Guesthouse einen sehr charmanten Einblick in das nubische Leben. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, Ventilator und kostenloses WLAN. Die Atmosphäre ist äußerst ruhig und relaxed. Aus den Zimmern tritt man direkt in einen sehr grünen Garten, der von Mangobäumen beschattet wird. Von dort, wie von einer weiteren Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Stadt Assuan am anderen Nilufer. Das Essen ist köstlich und liebevoll zubereitet (unbedingt den Fisch probieren!). Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein wirklicher Geheimtip! Ein kleines Paradies!

We stayed two nights at Maghrabi Guesthouse – we fully recommend to stay there. It was a wonderful and very special experience. Taha, the owner and host, made us feel at home. His sister is a great cook and made us experience traditional Nubian food. Taha explained the whole history of Nubian people in Egypt, who had to find a new home after their lands were flooded by the Aswan high dam – a very touching story. Taha helped us organize a trip to Abu Simbel and up to Luxor, which made it fast and easy for us to plan the next steps of our journey. The guesthouse is built in old Nubian style with a nice garden and terrasse directly on the West bank of the Nile. The room was all we could have asked for. The beds were comfortable and clean. Bear in mind that the guesthouse cannot be reached by taxi. We recommend you contact the guesthouse to pick you up by boat, which is easy and fun. We wish Taha and his family all the best in tough Corona virus times and hope to be back at Maghrabi’s guesthouse someday.…

I've stayed in one other place in Nubian Village, which was decent, but this one is the best. The owner and workers at the guest house are kind but give you space. The view from your front door is the Nile. The food is excellent and the rooms neat and well cleaned with modern furniture. Hot, strong shower and coffee. The window screens will let in mosquitos, but other than that it was a great stay. I look forward to a return trip.

I only stayed one night and the brothers were very hospitable and attentive. After a long day at Abu Simbel and Philae temple my energy was gone. I didn't want to stop at a restaurant so they made me dinner (breakfast) that I enjoyed on the grounds watching the lights on the Nile. Ask the owners about the story behind the place, it is a touching family story. I came in winter and was cold so make sure to request a portable heater. The bathroom was a nice size and plenty of hot water. The grounds are large and tiered so all have a view of the Nile. To get to the East bank you'll go by motor boat for touring which was fun for me. Families stayed here and the children were curious about me being American; it was great fun to talk with them. Arriving by car was an adventurer, as you are coming through a Nubian village. Note: A guide was arranged through an agency for me and her English proficiency was very limited. This was not the property's fault. I would look for a different guide and not use Heba. Everything she told me was in my guidebook (very limited) and when I asked questions she could not understand me. Plan ahead.…

Maghrabi' s guesthouse is a very good place. The people that work there are honest and friendly. The views and atmosphere is peaceful and quiet at the West Bank of the city. The room is so sweet and the ceiling has a big lotus flower with magic light in the morning. Breakfast was perfect, you can ask for the Egyptian version with beans and ommelet.they serve good Turkish coffee, just ask.
