We came here as part of an excursion from our cruise ship. The beach was beautiful and the staff were super friendly. Definitely would recommend checking this beautiful beach out. Our family had a great time lounging and relaxing. I hope to come back again one day.

Very nice beautiful day in Roatan. Great service on the beach by Evans who was running everywhere and taking great care of us all. Nelly was our bus and tour guide and she was super friendly. Angel was a good bus driver who got us where we needed to go. Water was super choppy but reef was nice and snorkel guides were very safety conscious. Food was OK. All in all great day. No sand fleas or bug bites for us.

Friendly staff, very accommodating. Clean rooms, thin blanket on bed so I asked for an extra blanket. I asked for an ironing board, iron was in the room already. Clean beach with plenty of seating. Diving was wonderful and dive staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was good, buffet style was great for our large group of 11. Bar room with pool table, tv and games was fun. Karaoke night was fun. Sand flies/gnats were so bad, they make you very itchy, don’t forget bug spray or buy some in the reception lobby. Massage on the beach was nice. Will have to go back, didn’t get a chance to kayak, too busy diving. Botanical garden tour on the grounds was a great plus as well.

On a recent cruise to the western Caribbean, we went on an excursion through Carnival. While in Roatan, we traveled by bus to Turquoise Bay Dive and Beach Resort. Our package included food and drinks. The drinks were free flowing, but our food only arrived just a bit before it was time to leave. Our tour guide was great and he led on it twice, to very little avail. My wife and I both ordered the beef and lobster surf and turf. The steak was flavored well with a butter sauce. The plantains were pretty bland, but it is hard to get much flavor from a plantain. The lobster looked amazing on the plate, but was over cooked and difficult to get out of the shell. It amazed me that there were several male waiters standing around while a couple were running all over. I wish they had more Sri k options for those of us that don’t drink alcohol. I probably won’t come back here on an excursion again. For my money and time it’s not worth it.

The resort staff were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are average but the property helps make up for this. The beach area and private cabanas are amazing but the food needs a lot of help. Any food off we ate off the property was much better than the food at the resort. The website shows a menu you can choose from that is outdated and must have been before covid. There is only a buffet and if you want desert better grab it before your main course because they run out fast! The snacks served in the afternoon were random and not very good such as grilled tuna on white bread that was not edible. Each one of us had some type of illness during the week that seemed to be food or water born, maybe the ice. Thank goodness for antacids and Imodium! The pool did not seem clean and not once did we see anyone but a small child in it. Now the diving. Diving is why we were here with a group of friends. The dive staff seemed like they were their because they had to be there. No excitement and not safe at some points. I won't get into too many details but make sure you check and recheck your tanks for leaks and PSI. Yes, as divers we are responsible for ourselves but we could have been easily lost from out dive guide. This side of the island had a lot of waves for the first 2 days. Thankfully the staff moved the boats to the other side and drove us over each day. We were able to leave our gear on the boat for the rest of the week. We were thankful for this as it would have been hard on our gear for them to truck it over everyday. They did feed us lunch on the dock but it wss the same bland food from the resort. I compare it to cafeteria food.

Great place to book if your heading to Roatán - beautiful views, clear water and service from the staff was superb. Also did the snorkelling while we were there and highly recommend booking it. Waiters on the beach were super efficient and all the facilities clean and well maintained. The private huts also looked awesome so will try that next time. Will definitely be returning

This is an excellent resort for serious divers, or beginners. The dive masters are as professional as any place in the world. All dives are boat dives, most are close. One trip is an hour away, but a nice ride, and includes an easy, safe wreck dive, and two other dives. The dive masters are very good with divers of every level. The dive shop is small, but can repair about anything. The resort is a bit dated, the setting is beautiful, and the grounds are very well maintained. Food is good, not great. Drinks are very good. All staff speak English and Spanish, and some other languages. We would definitely return.

Thank you to Miguel, Osmon and Bili for all of the help diving. They were all great. Very helpful for me, as a disabled diver. Also, food was good and wait staff was friendly. If you use a wheelchair, you can use the bathroom and get into the shower. It’s tight, though. You’ll want to get some dimensions to try to make sure.

My husband and I spent a week at Turquoise Bay Resort, and honestly it wasn't the dream vacation we had in mind. It was our first time at Roatan and it is stunning with beautiful beaches but there were a bunch of things that just didn't sit right with us. First off, make sure to pack at least 2 cans of bug spray there were so many sand flies out there, understandably, they can only do so much. More of a warning than a complaint. What really got to us was the customer service. We went for the all-inclusive package but the service level was directly tied to how much you tipped. Even though it was advised on their website to tip at the end. We don't expect royal treatment, but a simple 'hello' or just decent service would've been nice. They would actively try to avoid you and take the "long walk" to keep them from having to do service. The drinks weren't any good either, just sugar with cheap alcohol. Our room was okay, a bit outdated, but we could've lived with that. However, it rained heavily and our bathroom ceiling was leaking all night and flooded the floor. They did move us to another room, which was good, but we had to ask for a price adjustment since we ended up with a downgrade. I doubt they would've offered it if we hadn't asked. And then there were some pretty obvious inequalities in how they treated guests. They showed preferential treatment towards white guests. We saw a bartender turn a guy away, saying the bar was closed (it was 8pm on a weekday), but then turned around and served a group of white kids. That didn't sit well with us at all, especially when the posted bar hours clearly stated that the bar was open from 10am-10pm. So, all in all, Roatan is a gem, but I'd advise anyone to think twice about staying at Turquoise Bay Resort until they sort out these issues with service, accommodations, and fairness to all their guests.
