They have re advertised this property under the name “Brokenviews” and it’s terrible and falsely advertised. Avoid this place and save your money. The beds are terrible and broken. It’s dust filled and old- the furniture and decor is grossly outdated and uninviting. The only positive is that there are seperate villas with a communal living space but we didn’t engage in that area because it was uncomfortable old and dirty.

I completely agree with the last review, extremely over-priced with no attention to detail. The Lodge at Noble Domain is set on very nice grounds, and has about 6 semi-detached cabins which are nice enough but rough around the edges and not as clean as you'd find at a 5 star hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful when we arrived, but this is the only time we saw them; not the usual attentiveness you'd expect - I've had a lot better service from 3 star hotels. Their website is very misleading: No "welcoming dining room" (breaky at the cafe down the road), no "Inhouse massage and beauty service" (No house service in general), and the "sundecks" were useless due to the steel, extremely upright seating. Overall we had a pleasant stay, just way too expensive at $275 per night, and our expectations were set too high thanks to their website.

Me and my partner stayed 2 nights at the Lodge at Noble Domain. Our general impression was that the accommodation was pretty nice - definitely NOT 5 star but maybe pushing a 3.5 to 4 star rating on a good day. I booked on where the normal room rate is listed as $500+. This is quite unbelievable to me as I felt we paid too much at $295 per night. Firstly, one of the strangest things at the Lodge at Noble Domain is that the reception is left unattended practically all the time. Usually the reception at a hotel is the hub of the action, where you arrive and are made to feel welcome and where you can find out information. We were only able to check in by being handed the keys by a casual staff member who seems to do some light cleaning to help out. So after checking in we then had to track this person down to find out what the story was with breakfast, what a taxi number was, when wineries were likely to close etc. The room itself was nice enough but lacked in some attention to detail, eg a tea pot was provided with no cups, no cushions on the outdoor furniture, no iron or ironing board, some minor maintenance required in the room (nothing huge but when a place advertises themselves as 5 star you have expectations that things will be perfect). It was generally clean but could have been cleaner. Some of the furniture was very cheap looking. As for the sports 'themed' rooms they really shouldn't have bothered. We stayed in the Rugby room and the extent on the theming was some rugby books on the coffee table. Why bother at all? They should also arrange to light up their sign from the street, if you're driving at night you would miss it completely unless you knew it was next door to the Crocodile cafe. Breakfast was served next door at the Crocodile cafe. It was excellent but the cafe probably doesn't open early enough to cater for some early risers (opens at 9am but we negotiated an 8:30 breakfast as we were getting picked up by a tour guide at 9:15am). Also although the Crocodile cafe is next door it still means driving there due to the fact that the Lodge at Noble Domain has been build a long way back from the street - it's walkable if you're up for it but only if you have time and are so inclined. There was no making of beds or refreshing of amenities after the first night - which I personally don't mind but some people might expect. I will say though that the bed was very comfortable. They should remove the wheels on the bottom of the base though. When we checked out, and because the reception was unattended and we couldn't find anyone, we simply left the keys on the table in the room and went. What else could we do?? The Lodge at Noble Domain has been built in a beautiful bushy setting and is very picturesque in terms of location, however the rooms are only ok and definitely not 5 star. In my view the main problem arises from the fact that they sell themselves as 5 star and price themselves accordingly, and when you build up expectations like that the disappointment is multiplied when it's not up to scratch. We didn't have a bad stay at the Lodge at Noble Domain, just not a great one which is what you expect when you fork out quite a bit of money.
