The place is great and the location of the hotel is extremely good. The rooms have only basic facilities. Large and spacious balconies. Breakfast is extremely summary, but the products are of good quality. The vegetables, fruits and sweets are missing. Although we wanted to serve our coffee after breakfast in our room to enjoy it on the balcony, the owner did not allow us to do so without any explanation. I think that if you have such spacious balconies in a natural dream setting, you might want to let your guests enjoy their coffee in the quiet rooms. Especially because there are no conditions to prepare coffee in the room.

Small and simple hotel; its main advantage is the proximity to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles (just 3 minutes by car, I used this to get to the castles early in the morning, before the main flood of tourists). Also the Königliche Kristall-Therme, wonderful spa complex, is near. Decent breakfast, very friendly and helpful personnel, clean rooms and bathrooms - all these are on the positive side. There was no curtain in the bathroom, so a lot of water was spilled around. Parking, if not in front of the hotel, can be found behind the building. There is no Wi-Fi in the hotel. Maybe (IMHO) less suitable for a long stay. But overall good value for money.

After driving 6 hrs to this hotel we were check in by this older blonde lady at front reception she ask for our reservation name and gave it to her then she saw my kids and said you didn't mention them on the reservation and you cannot stay with them in this room and I dont have any other larger rooms . I said well we can stay together since it's only one night . She shooked her head and bluntly said no she wouldn't let us . I said well it's late and most of other hotel in this small town are now closed for check in . She just kept shaking her head and said you can buy another room and that's all . Well I wasn't going to seperate my small age children so we had to leave .As many hotels we have stayed at we have never encounter this problem felt she was racist as why would someone not let their kids stay in the same room. Just by looking at the dingy lobby area we were able to find a better hotel

I enjoyed this hotel very much for the one night we were there. The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were spotless. You could easily see both castles from our balcony. Breakfast was good. We arrived on a Wednesday when the kitchen is closed, but they opened for us and made outstanding schnitzel. I would stay here again in a minute.

This is an average place. well connected to Fussen and hohenschwangau, but there are no buses after 10pm in the night. I had to do a last m minute booking through a third party agentn. So it costed me a lot. Pros: 1. The location is good. Situated between Fussen and Hohenschwangau. One could actually walk back from Fussen. Frequent buses in day time. 2.The hotel rooms are small, but clean and tidy. 3.The view from the hotels window is good.Although distant, One can see the Neuschwanstein castle. 4. Hotels backyard gives a good view of the castle. Cons: 1. No Wifi 2. Breakfast was terrible. Nothing fresh served 3. There was a free evening drink. But, it was not offered to us 4. Pricey for the amenities it gives Final vedict: Go there if you do not have any other options.

We stayed here in order to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. The location is excellent, it's a very short drive to the castle and you can beat all the queues in the morning. You also get 1EUR per person discount on the entry ticket to Neuschwanstein Castle by staying at the hotel in this area. Rooms are good. This was one of the cheaper hotels at this village, so I wasn't expecting too much of it and it was satisfactory for what we paid. The breakfast could have been a bit better, add some more food to the selection. The man on the reception, while he wasn't rude, seemed a little stressed, running around all the time and at breakfast as well. He needs to relax a bit in order to make the whole atmosphere more friendly. On the other hand, he explained everything and was helpful. No WiFi at all.

Our family of seven stayed at this wonderful hotel. The service was excellent from the time of our arrival onwards. The rooms were lovely and very clean with breathtaking castle views. The breakfast buffet was superb with wonderful service and fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our family (2 adults, 1 five year old) stayed for a night. It was fine for the price. Free parking in front. Short walk to good German restaurant. We didn't have a balcony, but went for the budget room for three. No AC, but we knew that. They left some hair on the shower wall, which was gross, but that happens... Reception very friendly and helpful. No wifi, which seems odd these days, but we survived! Close to the castle by car. It was a good hotel and deal for our budget.

One great thing was that from the balcony we can see the castle. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast is ok. The thing I didn't like was the charge for baby bed as for an adult, wich was said it was for free.

Nice hotel. 20 min walk from the schloss (by a magical walk road in the forest called "romantic road". The rooms are sound proof an has charming balconies. Some with a great view. We stayed at room number 1, the balcony there is not great because it is in the enter way of the hotel, what makes me think that the price should be lower for this type of room. Cunclusion: very nice hotel, with a good price and lovely employees, but avoid room 1 and related.
