Fantastic farmhouse B&B! Based on other reviews on Trip Advisor, we chose to stop over at Dasherhead B&B on our way up from Derbyshire to Inverness. Linda and Robin made us and our two dogs very welcome. The house has lots of character with lots of interesting photos, book and antiques to look at. The full Scottish breakfast definitely set us up for our onward journey the next day. We enjoyed our initial stay at Dasherhead so much that we also decided to phone Linda later that week part way around our NC500 trip and made another reservation for our return trip. Would definitely recommend!

We were made very welcome and comfortable for the three days we stayed with Linda and Robin for the Runrig concert. We had stayed the night before in a quality hotel chain but I had not realised how bland the full english was until we tasted Linda’s breakfast. The local produce was bursting with flavour. Robin was great help in confirming earlier reservations for dinner in a great local Inn and finding bus timetables for fellow guests. A very memorable stay.

Superb farmhouse, tastefully furnished and full of character. Set in open countryside, easily accessed by bike, car or bus. Generous cooked breakfast. We came just for the weekend but were loathed to leave. We hope to be back!

One of our favorite Scottish B&B's! The house is delightful, full of photos, paintings, books, and antiques. Our huge double room was so comfortable, with a desk to write at and chairs to read in. Although it was not ensuite, there were large, soft robes to use and the bathroom was just steps away. The breakfast was delicious and large. Linda had made dinner reservations at the nearby Gargunnock Inn, which was a delight. Robin went out of his way, taking us to an ATM when we realized we didn't have quite enough money with us! Wonderful folks! Definitely a place we hope to return to and recommend it to anyone wanting to be close to the Stirling area, but in the peaceful countryside.

There is one bad review for Dasherhead, but that dates from 2010 and none of the things picked out for criticism were relevant to our two visits in 2018 (3 nights in total on our way to and from the Outer Hebrides). This is a delightful old house so don’t expect the bland ensuite facilities of a characterless modern hotel. We found comfort, antique charm, fascinating family stories, TV in our room, water and glasses by the bed, the most delicious breakfast (with full Scottish of the highest quality, beautifully cooked, and free from grease) served in a dining room full of treasures and delights. Best of all, we got to meet Linda and Robin and enjoy their wit, warmth and true Scottish hospitality. They were Welcome Personified and we very much hope to see them again. Oh and they also welcomed our FOUR cocker spaniels with aplomb, even when we had to take them out for a comfort break in the wee hours. Thank you Linda and Robin, you were a big part of a memorable holiday. …

Yet another great stay! We were made so welcome again, having come down south from Banchory where the Beast from the East had curtailed our stay up north, snow still evident on the ground and bitterly cold down here too. Our bedroom, all with matching co -ordinating accessories was waiting for us. Our breakfasts outstanding as usual with a couple of extras too, Linda got up early one morning to give my husband a cooked breakfast before he left for work. A very special ‘ Her Majesty’ is what he calls her. Robin very kindly ‘taxied’ me and my dog to and from Gargunnock Inn as I had no transportation and inclement weather loomed. Looking forward to our next stay, defiantly in September, but probably before as we have ordered a new car which will need to be collected from Stirling.! Such great hospitality, the only place to stay in our view in the area.…

Our 5th stay here and made to feel so welcome. Their home is full of wonderful pictures and photos all depicting such history and family memories. Rooms are colour co ordinated and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is served by the ‘Commi chef’ in the most delightful of dining rooms. Nothing is too much trouble. Dog friendly as well. Will be back! X

Linda & Robin made us most welcome in their beautifully appointed farm house. They even booked dinner at the local dog-friendly pub where we enjoyed excellent food & ale. We are quite particular regarding accommodation & food but we couldn't fault their excellent hospitality and heartwarming Scottish breakfast. We used the B&B as for a stop off en route to Highlands but would stay longer next time to enjoy their hospitality and explore the Stirlingshire attractions.
