While staying at the Big Blue we thought for ease we would have our dinner here. Walked in and they asked if we had a booking. Said no they looked up the computer to say yes their was availability now. The places was empty apart from 3 tables. Walked through looked very posh. Panic set in that this is not a place for kids. I was wrong they had a kids menu. Younger kids and older kids. Starter for my kids onion rings. - Nice but adult portion. 10yr old had meatballs. - it was awful. Dried processed meat, bland tomatoe sauce and odd tasting pasta. We couldn't eat it. 6yr old daughter had sausages chips and peas. Sausage were the ones served at breakfast. She was happy. Adults menu was very winter food. Stews, roast, ect nothing was appealing on a summer evening. Asked for a chicken Caesar salad small as it had two prices and shoe string chips. The two prices turns out to be with or without chicken. It arrived. I had no chicken in it even though I asked for the chicken one. The chips were actually French fries. My son ate those as he refused the meatball and pasta. £70 bill arrived. Definitely not worth the money. Absolutely waste of money.

This family-run property was as delightful as the pictures had led us to hope for and we loved our room with a view looking down onto the picturesque Aegiali bay. Although breakfast was not yet provided during our stay, I have absolutely no doubt it will be lovely. You need to be fit to go up and down into the town but it's well worth it! Thank you for your warm hospitality!

We stayed at the Big Blue at the end of August 2018 at a small apartment on the ground floor with view to the sea. We were greeted by the siblings who also run the lodging and treated some fantastic homemade rakomelo! The room was full of character and particularly clean with a tiny kitchenette to fulfill some of your basic needs. Our whole stay was perfect. The owners are exceptionally welcoming and accommodating and their rooms are well kept clean and tasteful. Their breakfast is homemade with new additions every day and the cook is always happy to accommodate particular tastes. This is a highly recommended small pension and at a very good price given that Amorgos is not a cheap island to visit. Thank you Pavlos and Lili for the great stay and for the pleasure to meet you!

A small friendly complex just outside the village of Aegiali. The rooms are nice with seaview from the balcony. From the lounge-area there's a perfect view over the bay, you can order a drink from the small bar (which also serves breakfast en lunch) and enjoy the sunset. The place is quiet, although situated next to the road, there's almost no traffic. In 5 to ten minutes, you'll walk to the center, with all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants and the stretched sandy beach. Island is perfect for rest-seekers, hikers and people who can truly appreciate authentic greek life. Last but not least, Stefanos the host of the big blue is one of the sweetest men, you'll ever meet. He made sure our stay was excellent!

Room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, with great view in the "Big Blue". Litsa and Pavlos - the owners - were friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. Would stay here again if I get the chance to visit Amorgos again

I usually don't leave reviews or comments, whether positive or negative. But this time I'm going to write a couple of line to thank Litsa. Wonderful structure, small but refined, elegant in respect to the style of cyclades, Litsa furnishing details make the difference. Stunning view, I enjoyed the tranquility and the silence. Breakfast overlooking the port of Aegiali, unforgettable mom's jams and the continued attentions of Litsa and her brother make you feel pampered. The island's extraordinary beauty and the hotel's ambience make the holiday wonderful. After 22 years of Greek islands beauty is always guaranteed. Edoardo

Amorgos is probably the best Greek island that we have every been, but what toped the empierce was staying at the Big Blue Hotel! The place is super clean, the rooms look as if they where just build and you are the first guest! The owners Pavlos and Litsa made sure that we had more than we needed all the time and they are exceptionally nice, polite, and generous people with a big smile on their faces! They patio is the best place to spend your afternoon relaxing in the jacuzzi while eating fresh peaces of the trees and enjoying the sunset. within walking distance from the beach and the restaurants and bars the place is excellent for everyone! Litsa and Pavlo thank you for making it the best vacations of you lives we miss you and look forward to come back!!!

We stayed there for 6 nights. The first night was a nightmare because the "White Cycladics" rooms were very small and smelly. But the "Amorgos" rooms were very good and the view from the balcony was amazing! People were really friendly especially Litsa who runs the place. I would definitely recommend it, but do not choose the "White Cycladics" if they are not refurbished.
