I was there with my friends last week. We were a group of 5 people, 3 of us in 1 room and the other 2 in another one. The good thing for this hotel it´s the location and the price, it´s pretty central, but Brussels is pretty small, so you can get something better around for the same price. Let´s go for the bad things: We had booked the rooms on Booking with the option to pay at the venue. When we arrived, we were doing the checking and we were talking with the receptionist trying to make the payment but our Monzo card did not work properly. Booking hold our money off on the card so to procedure with the payment you need top ay at the hotel using the same card to confirm the payment (that happens in the majority of hotels nowadays). The receptionist was using an old card machine and we could not proceed with the payment as we like. So he suggested to speak with his manager after when we were back. We were walking around and in the afternoon we were back to solve the issue with the payment. First of all, when we enter at the reception, the manager called Memon or Menom (I don´t remember exactly) never say hello, so it was quite weird when you are the manager at the place and your hospitality skills are really low that you never welcoming your guests. We were trying to explain him about the issue with the card but he was just asking for payment, payment and payment! After 4-5 times we finally finished the explanation about why we could not pay before and he was trying to use our Monzo card to make the payment but his old machine did not work again, so I told him we have more cards we can use to make the payment and he shouted me about I don´t care if you are rich, if you can pay with a different card or if you have more money. We were in shock! And after that we started to speak with him in a high volumen as well, saying we are working in the same area like him and you can not be that rude with a customer. We understand sometimes card machines do not take payments for all the cards, so I suggested I got a different one, so it could be used as well. He realised what he said, and after he asked us what was the rude thing he was doing, after that, we stop talking with him, took our keys and that´s it. End of the story! My personal advice, is please take some English clases if you are not confortable speaking in a different language. His language skills were pretty basic, so probably he did not understand us properly. The room was pretty old, the toilets old too and the pillows really uncomfortable, but it was our fault to decide to go for that hotel, so if you want a good experience in Brussels, please do not go to this hotel. I understand everyone has a bad day, of course, but honestly, it has been one of the worst experiences in my life, we had a really bad opinion about this hotel and about how the manager take care about their customers.…
