No one greeted us when we arrived. We had to discover an envelope with a key. There was a clanking radiator in the passage way. The entrance looked like a store room. The hotel was not pleasant nor comfortable despite booking a deluxe executive room. It was a tired hotel which needs greatly upgrading. We left a day early. The bathroom was tiny and had chips in the toilet seat. Not good value for the cost. €160 per night. The only good thing in its favour was its courtyard car park.

We had a pleasant stay overall enjoying the central location of this hotel nestled in an historical palace with internal parking, the courtesy and kindness of the staff, an extremely clean and spacious room. The lack of care in the room and bathroom set up though was a real shame. Pictures included and I will leave this to you to judge...

Albergo San Domenico is a fantastic hotel in the center of Urbino right in front of Palazzo Ducale. Our room, 208, is nice and big. Parking in the courtyard easy and safe. A dogfriendly hotel with an impressive breakfast and very friendly service. We can absolutely recommend this hotel and we will certainly stay here again.

First day of my holidays . Hot weather with annoying feeling . Very pleasant hotel town comfortable . Staff - very pushing of service and confused mindset . Vanue - comfortable in city central . Cleanses - Dirty and dusty . Room - obsolete style Parking - need to pay but staff very confused if available for you. Value - expensive As for 4 star hotel you don't have any complement water in room ......... water is not costing. Also we are the guest in this hotel we need to pay for the parking feel inopportune . Please took away the room 2 small carpet look not hygiene 😑😑😑 . 2 small blue seat full of the dust , toilet is dirty and dust . I don't feel like 4 star hotel .

We stayed for two nights at Albergo San Domenico. Our third-floor air-conditioned room was incredibly spacious, with a parquet floor, ensuite bathroom with bath, and a seating area with two confortable fauteuils. The furniture is semi-antique and on request, a tray with cups and water boiler was brought in. Excellent stay!

The hotel is extremely well situated, just opposite the Palazzo Ducale. It is very clean, and the staff pleasant. As there were few guests the restaurant was closed but the breakfast servec excellent.

A reasonable hotel but leaving a major disappointment because their claim that 'We stay in a traffic restricted area, however no permission is required for hotel guests.' is completely misleading. Even after enquiring about the procedure I was not informed of the need to register my car. Very disappointing but above all, very unprofessional.

When you get to this hotel the first thought is that you could not be in a better position to visit Urbino! It is literally in front of Palazzo Ducale and it offers a parking so you can enter the limited access zone. Yet, you don't get a view from the windows of the surroundings, since the building used to be a covent and all rooms look into a not so special internal court. Rooms are huge and clean, but everything is old, as in old (not antique, which would be charming, simply old) furniture, lamps etc lowering quite a bit the enjoyment of the stay. Breakfast is generous. All in all it is a pleasant stay and if position is your priority you can't get better

the once-convent turned hotel was true to it's advertising. we weren't expecting luxury. it provided us with comfortable accomodations. free parking within the walls of the hotel. park and walk the city. had some difficulty communicating with staff as we were not good speaking italian, and most urbino residents don't speak english.

This hotel provides the unique experience of accommodation in a 15 century building, at the heart of the the old town and across the ducal palace. Service is excellent, rooms are comfortable, location is terrific. A truly memorable experience.
