The hotel is clean and friendly directly opposite the Trevi fountain so the view was second to none especially from the breakfast room on the third floor overlooking the fountain. Staff were friendly and welcoming : room was a little small but satisfactory with a split level bathroom - would revisit without hesitation.

We had read the reviews after booking and were a bit worried but we shouldn't have been. Yes its in need of some love and update but its a very old building with quirky style but our rooms were clean and tidy. We had a issue with the glass shower smashing and the came up immediately replaced with a curtain and cleaned it all up that you wouldn't have noticed. Staff were friendly especially upstairs in the bar and yes the prices were very high but have you seen the view. Personally I do the breakfast/bar area is rather small for the hotel size because it quickly feels up so be aware of this. The view....I mean there are no words how spectacular it is just breathtaking..its nowhere noisy as we had read but it is probably more than other places though but its so central with such a good location for walking to all of the other attractions

I booked in Hotel Fontana especially for the view..I thinks it's the only hotel with amazing view of Trevi Fountain. It's a few steps from the fountain. Staff are amazing, all of them, especially Fabrizio and Francisco (I hope the names are correct☺️) But the hotel is very old so don't expect modern rooms and classy bathrooms.

Unbeatable view and great service from the front desk but this place desperately needs updating. Our room had black mold and horrible shower scum. Was extremely disappointed in the service and prices of the rooftop bar $15 for small cocktails when the bar next to the fountain had $12 cocktails and the bar two blocks away were $9.

Excellent location, could not be closer to the Trevi fountain. Staff all friendly. Hotel very grubby. Room had bed in the corner and we could still only just walk round . Bathroom was a disgrace. Breakfast was not great but nice coffee.

Room Tip: Avoid if given room 104. Should be heavily discounted, used only as last resort and refurbished.

We got an extremly small room - about 6 sqm. The bed takes up almost all the space. Tiny lousy bathroom. Right outsider the window is a big noisy engine that runs 24/7. In Hotel Fontana you Pay full price for half a room (room no 104).

Furniture very poor !! Wardrobe needed a key to open and close was missing . We were told don’t close it . The wardrobe had a big hole in it hidden by the large mirror . Plug hole didn’t drain we had to remove the plug manually. Bath had 3 big-black marks on it . The shower only had a cradle for the shower head so had the hold it above your head and wash your hair with only one hand .Day and night face cream went missing from the room . No apology was given when reported.Problems with heating . I’m emailed the hotel for them to organise a taxi for me a few weeks before we left uk . The email states it’s 75 euro one way .If you ask reception to book taxi to the airport they charge 60euro but it’s supposed to be a fixed 50 euro . You can get the taxi for 50 euro in the street on the left of the Trevi Fountain . . On the positive side, bedding and towels very clean .Location excellent. Breakfast was good .

We were there from November 3 to November 7, excellent location right in front of the Fontana di Trevi. We were very well received by the staff – a special thanks to Camila and Guido who were extremely helpful with tips and attention to detail. Breakfast was simple, but delicious. The room had a good size and a very comfortable bed, but with a poor view of the back of the hotel (opposite to Fontana di Trevi). It was very noisy (not from the fountain, but from the hotel itself – such as the elevator and workers coming and going). The bathroom is the downside. For once, it had an extremely small shower, with curtains instead of glass. It was also impossible to shower without flooding the whole bathroom. The location of the hotel and the quality of its staff made up for the negative points. Mr. Guido was extremely helpful and kind guiding and supporting us when we needed medical help.

We absolutely loved this little secluded gem .we didn’t stayed at the hotel but we’ve been to the terrace rooftop where you can have an amazing view over Trevi Fountain .there are not to many tables but that makes it more exclusive as not so many people there .waiters were fantastic drinks heaven !!the only problem was that the food didn’t have too much variety they were few nibble for tasting but not proper restaurant food .in my opinion was all worth it considering the view !!I absolutely love that landmark .❤️

The staff were lovely and friendly, the hotel had real character and the location is just wonderful, but just make sure you don't get the triple room 103 which we did! The bathroom is simply not fit for purpose and the worst we have ever had in a hotel, anywhere. The cleaner did her best every morning but because of it's very small size, when showering, the water goes all over the floor (imagine after 3 x people had showered every morning) as the flimsy shower curtain does nothing to hold the water back, the shower tray gets filled up within 30 seconds and trying to sit on the toilet comfortably is just not going to happen! A real shame as everything else was great.
