This is a great hotel. You need to take the number 7 bus from the train station. and walk 150 meters. Believe me it is worth it. Rooms are large, clean, and have a little patio. Shower is excellent. Friendly English speaking staff. The highlight of this place is the Restaurant. Four star. Try the Cod. We had the Leg of Lamb as well both fantastic.

The restaurant attached to the Hotel Arte is excellent. It's very smart, the food is terrific and the staff are lovely. English is spoken which was not so common in this part of Germany. Good car parking too. An oasis off the busy ring road with some terrific thatched properties nearby.

I frequenty travel to Schwerin for business and always try to stay at Arte. It is the perfect hotel for my needs. The rooms are large and very comfortable and super clean with all the finishes to make it an easy and convenient place to be. The staff are very friendly and are always helpful, even though I cannot speak much German. The setting is peaceful and quiet with horses in the adjacent field and a woodland in the near distance. It is a short trip to the centre of town and there is a bus service near by. The Schwerin castle is a must see. The best part about the hotel is the restuarant. It is a small menu that changes frequently offering classics like Viena Schitzel but also local specialalities which are always great to try. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The waiting staff are curtious and efficient, picking up on what kind of a dinner experience you want very quickly. I would visit this restraunt if I was anywhere in the vicinity, regardless of staying at the hotel or not.

We came to Schwerin for the weekend and stopped here for a light meal (we could have had a lot more) in the middle of an afternoon bike ride. We greatly enjoyed our soups, a Kurbiscremesuppe (creamed winter squash) and a parsley root cream soup with a prawn. Both were tasty and artfully presented. Since this was really a meal between meals for us, we shared a main: chicken breastfeeding sautéed with a wrap of bacon on a bed of cooked spinach with some fried potato patties. The spinach, cooked in a light cream herb sauce was so good, we asked if we could get a second portion, just of that. Service was excellent, especially considering that we were not hotel guests and were not ordering a lot. We'll happily return for a larger meal or perhaps a stay here at the hotel if back in the area again.

This hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the center of Schwerin. The benefit is the quiet location. There is a bus which stops in front of the hotel to take you into town as well. Our room was very clean, with a private patio. A lovely horse came to the fence and grazed throughout the day. We had dinner on the hotel patio. The food was very good, service as well. The downside is that there are very few English speakers in the hotel. We managed because we speak some German, but a non German speaker might have some problems. Schwerin is a nice town with a beautiful castle. Would stay here again.

This hotel was a very nice surprise. Clean rooms and bathrooms. A great breakfast and very friendly staff. A person in our group had trouble with the shoe shine machine and got a free bottle of wine. Definitely recommended.

We spent a weekend here to visit relatives in Schwerin. The hotel is in the countryside, a little outside the city, but you can still get to the center quickly by car. The people there are very friendly, the breakfast was plentiful. You can eat very well in the restaurant and drink delicious cocktails or a beer in the bar. You can park your car directly behind the hotel. We have been here 3 times now and have always been very satisfied.

As a wheelchair user, it is difficult to go on holiday. Only after a call to the ARTE Hotel did I feel understood, without any restrictions. All in all, these 2 nights with my children were wonderful. Super friendly staff, who immediately respond to and implement all requests. My daughter even wrote and handed in a note herself. Regarding the surrounding area, it must also be said that the bus connection works perfectly. Here too, the drivers are super friendly and helpful in every way. The tram was also a highlight with the wheelchair. Everything worked out great. We will definitely be back soon. Stumm family
