The Bield bed and breakfast is a large Victorian house built of sandstone in 1900. Our Bed and Breakfast rooms are decorated to a high standard and we have a comfortable guest lounge to relax in. We have tried to keep and restore as many of the houses's original features. We have private off road parking for our guests and we are able to provide safe storage for bikes. The house overlooks the lovely village of Aberfoyle in The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park in Scotland, with all its wonderful scenery. The Village is only a few minutes walk away and has some great pubs and places to eat and interesting places to visit.

Could not have chosen a better place to spend my big birthday celebrations with 10 of my best friends! The house was immaculate on arrival with the most stunning hamper waiting for us from the owner. Such a lovely gesture. We were absolutely delighted with the rooms, all beautiful and done in different styles. There is only 1 twin though, not 2 as advertised. This one was off the kitchen area at the back of the house next to a double with a shared bathroom and both were lovely rooms. One double room is accessed from the kitchen and has an ensuite with bath and shower. There was always plenty hot water. The rest of the bedrooms are upstairs and all are ensuite and very nicely decorated and furnished. The 2 lounges are very different in style but perfect for our group of 11 ladies to gather next to the fire and enjoy a few drinks. We all managed to sit at the dining table together too. The kitchen is so well equipped and just perfect for the group. The American style fridge freezer was a good size and there is a small drinks cooler. The gardens are immaculate and just the perfect place to sit out and enjoy the hot tub and relax in relative privacy. Our only disappointment was the owner came to clean the hot tub on the first morning after our arrival ( we had put the clean cycle on the night before as per the instructions) but because she topped it up with cold water it did not reach a usable temperature for almost 4 hours so we didn't get to use it as much as we had hoped which was disappointing. There are great walks nearby and a couple of the girls did a dip in the water by the waterfall. Really lovely village of aberfoyle is just a couple of minutes walk away.. This really was the best weekend away for all 11 of us and we all agreed we will go back and do it all again.

Brilliant house. Immaculate and well provisioned. The house is stunning and tasteful. The welcome pack was a gorgeous touch. Really classy and well done. We loved our stay! Amazing location. Would 100% recommend. The hot tub was so clean and well kept as was the entire property. Lots of parking and great outside and indoor space

What a fabulous place. We were a party of 8 celebrating our friend’s 60th. House was so cozy and welcoming. Very spacious, five out of seven bedrooms are en-suite. Other two share a lovely big bathroom. Lovely welcome pack, huge kitchen, two sitting rooms. Hosts were so helpful and quick to respond. Hot tub was great and pubs and restaurants a few minutes walk away. Could not have been better. Highly recommend for friends or family special occasions.

Spent a wonderful weekend with friends in this fabulous house. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The owners left us a welcome pack of cakes and shortbread which was much appreciated. The garden is lovely and the hot tub was great. The house is ideally placed in Aberfoyle. GoApe and forestry walks all within walking distance as well as eating places and shops.

Just returned from a one night stay here but wish it was longer. This is a stunning property. We had 2 rooms both were large with plenty of storage and comfortable beds. The towels were large and soft. There was a well stocked tray with hot chocolate, tea and coffee and biscuits and there was a large bottle of water in the room on arrival. There was a trolley outside the bedrooms with addition towels beverages etc I thought this was a nice touch. There was an additional electric heater in the room but it wasn’t needed. Our room overlooked the garden with the hot tub area . The hostess was lovely and friendly and very welcoming. There was a great choice for breakfast you just put your order in in the evening and came downstairs at your chosen time. The cooked part was very hot and tasty. We were told we were welcome to use the lounge which was large and very tastefully done. We were at a function in the Main Street which was only a 5 minute walk away. We used the car park which was ideal. If I’m back in Aberfoyle I would stay here in a heartbeat. What I didn’t like - just the toilet roll (but that’s down to personal preference ) and would’ve liked shower gel in room.

The house is gorgeous and beautifully furnished. Our bedroom was at the front of the house, giving us wonderful views. The bed was super comfy, which was much appreciated after our wet day’s walk from Drymen. There is a very comfortable looking guest lounge that we will definitely use if, no, when we stay again. Breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and very tasty. I highly recommend The Bield . Our only regret was that our plans didn’t allow us to stay longer!

We were only here for one night but would happily have stayed longer. Nice clean room, great location and breakfast was fantastic. There's some wonderful walks to do in the forest right behind the house as well. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent professionally run guest house. Lovely big high airy rooms with views of the valley to the front and the forest to the rear. Great breakfast. Raised up on a steep garden for the views and a steep short walk to Aberfeldy with its tourist facilities.
