Booked this hotel on the long weekend in July so we could go on boat cruise To bolt castle, nothing fancy but had mini fridge and stove that served the purpose, put us in cabin that looked liked a teepee hut at back of hotel but that was cheaper, checked the price of Howard Johnson across the street but online the price was Double, but when we checked at reception the price was only 100.00 more. (That’s why you should always call hotel directly) Howard Johnson way nicer with a pool. Anyway this hotel was only basically to sleep so it was alright, bed were fairly comfortable as well as it also had t.v with limited channels but no pool. Did offer Small breakfast from 8 to 9 in the morning. Served the purpose I guess, this hotel owned by family, problems with hot water in shower, but owner told us that we had to run sink water first to get it going. Small inconvenience, close to the park and where the boats are but still need to drive to get too or it’s a long walk. Went during their rib fest but did not go.

Queen Cottage was so very dark with insufficient lighting, giving it a gloomy drab feel. In contrast to the front rooms that have been recently renovated, the cottage needs renovating. The water in the bathroom was barely warm. When I phoned reception to report this, I was told to let the water run long enough to get it hot. When I told them I had done this already for 15 minutes and it was still only just warm, they then said there is nothing they can do. So no hot water. When we first moved in there were several mosquitoes in the room. The Cottage was quiet as it is at the back of the property away from the road. It was also handy to park our car right beside the cottage. The breakfast included was a good portion of scrambled eggs on toast. Having the cooked breakfast was very welcome rather than just the usual continental.

We have stayed at this location many times over the past number of years. The review remains consistent with others. Friendly staff, small but well kept rooms with microwave and fridge, flat screen T.V. Bathrooms have been renovated and are very clean. Parking at the door. We recommend this place for a short stay and the price is lower than other competitors.

Well, we have stayed here on other occasions, and we were never disappointed. It is a small Mom Pop location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but all the rooms we have had have been renovated with new furniture, bathrooms totally redone. Quiet location parking at the door. Great for a short stay and very well priced.

Nothing bad to say had an excellent stay at The Imperial Inn. Rented the deluxe cabin for three days, comfy beds and enjoyed the extra sitting room, staff were very friendly and helpful, and our little dog enjoyed it to.

I was looking for an inexpensive last-minute room,so I booked here for $79. It looks decent from the outside, but the rooms along the front are totally renovated and even a little up-scale in terms of finishings! Soap and toilet paper dispensers in the washroom, hope you like apple scent soap as that will be your shampoo too (for those with hair). Very friendly at check in, and the breakfast was very very very basic but McDonalds is within sight. Excellent value for the money, and still 8/10 even at a higher price.

We had a cottage with 2 double beds. Very tight quarters. Door rubbed against bed when you entered. Really no place to store your suitcases without tripping on them. There was a fridge, microwave, and flat screen TV. Desk and one chair. Other person had to sit on the bed but in fairness there was no room for another chair. Bathroom very outdated but large and clean. There were mosquitoes in the room but they probably entered when the room was being cleaned. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. Internet was intermittent at times. It was a quiet place to sleep for the night and the beds were comfortable. Would consider staying again if the price was right. Staff at desk were friendly but didn't speak English very well.

This place worked well for us for an overnight stay in Gananoque. We just wanted a comfortable place, at a good deal, without any frills. It is no 4-start hotel, but it fulfills all the basic requirements for a good night's sleep. We had the small little cottage, which was cute and comfortable. It wasn't fancy and beautifully-designed, but it was comfortable enough. There was also a roomy bathroom with a bathtub. Overall the place was clean and neatly organized. It was a bonus to be able to park right next to the cottage too. To check-in, you have to go through the restaurant to get to the reception desk. Expect to wait a few minutes if they are busy. The included breakfast was simple: some bread, coffee and juice. All the people we talked to were friendly. Overall, I would recommend this place if you were looking for a place that provides good value and has all the basics covered.
