The owner suite is my favorite. He always makes us stay there. We have been coming to stay two times there. Very clean and accommodating. The location is great and easy to walk to the ocean for a nice walk. It is in a quiet street and neighborhood. He has a sail boat and offer to go fishing or just to sail with him at a cost of course. Maybe, next time, we can go sailing. The restaurant and the town is one of my favorite place to vacation. Hope to go back again, Annie and Brad!

Left immediately, horrible experience, host is negligent, directs guests to the wrong rooms and then tries to place the blame on the guest. He is not a responsible owner, a real hotel would be a better arrangement.

This amazing place was much more than we expected. The amenities and extras were beyond compare: from the snacks in the kitchen basket to the yogurt, juice and fresh coffee cream in the fridge; chocolates on the pillows, super comfy beds and pillows; the bathroom was paradise (the sink alone was worth the experience); the kitchen was outfitted with everything you could wish for (fresh coffee beans and grinder to make fresh coffee). The owner, Darren was accommodating and so willing to make our stay wonderful. I will definitely be re-booking at Kingfisher suites at Corbett House next time I am on the island!

We stayed at the Eagles Landing Accommodation via the Corbett House for six nights. The location was ideal and within walking distance from downtown. From the outside the location was very attractive. The bed was very comfortable and was very cozy. We arrived very late on the first night, but were awoken early with the numerous aircraft landing and taking off very close to the roof overhead. The noise from the aircraft was sometimes deafening. At first Darren, the owner was very accommodating. That soon came to an immediate end with his brash stand off personality. We found the accommodation to be clean, with plenty of towels, but it was very dated and did not look much like the pictures on line when you arrived. We never used the utensils in the drawer but, found there were very few of each. The stairway to heaven to the unit was narrow (hard to take luggage up) and rickety needed stabilizing. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towel as there was very few provided. Sydney and surrounding area offered quality fine dining. My suggestion is to rent a car to visit Victoria, Sooke, Coombs, Ucelete and Tofino to appreciate the many jewels of the area.

This Airbnb is in a house that's been converted to several suites with separate entrances. In a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Good for families. The studio suite we had didn't have a microwave, that was the only drawback.

We were truly amazed with personalized service at the Corbett House. Our suite was spacious, clean and cozy. Bed was super comfy too. In the fridge we found milk and cheese. There was also pretty good variety of coffee, decaf and teas and few snacks. Darren is a nice and easy going guy. Great value for the money we paid. Hoping to be back next year!

My wife and I recently stayed three nights at Corbett Guest House and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting in Sidney, B.C. Our host Darren was very friendly and was always available by phone should we require any assistance. The Corbett Guest House has four suites three of which are single bedrooms and the fourth (which we were lucky to have been assigned) the King Fisher has two bedrooms - we only needed one. The suite we were in was modern in all respects with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower including a rain shower head. The suite was split level with the upper level containing a large fully equipped kitchen with everything one would need to prepare meals large or small. There is also a good sized living / dining area of and a shaded deck with seating / snack area to the back side of the kitchen. From the deck a stairway leads down to ground level where there is a table and chairs and BBQ in a small private patio area enclosed by a cedar hedge. Definitely a good choice for a longer stay then ours. The location of Corbett House is excellent being within easy walking distance of downtown Sidney and all that it has to offer plus there is a park about a five minute walk where there is a great play area for both children and adults. From the park area you can access the community walkway that stretches along the shoreline in both directions for a total of 3-4 km and offers fabulous scenes of water, mountains, islands and flowers plus many lovely homes. We even had the opportunity to briefly see some seals swimming near the US Ferry Terminal.

We stayed here June 24 thru June 26, 2018. This is an incredible place! Spotlessly clean - very roomy and furnished better than most homes - kitchen is equipped with everything you will ever need, from rice cooker to a Panini maker, coffee grinder to rabbit wine opener to name a few - bathroom has all the latest fixtures - very comfortable beds - private deck and private patio with Barbeque and much much more! Five star the whole way.Tripadvisor should rate this as the number one place to stay in Sidney.

What a great place for a family vacation! We had the 3 bedroom Kingfisher suite -- it worked out perfectly for our group of 5 adults and one 2 year old. There is a large, exceptionally well set-up kitchen, a dining space and living room. We used the BBQ, had great success with the crab traps and borrowed the bicycles. The suite was super clean and everything is well maintained. The location is excellent -- short walk to the beautiful waterfront walk, playgrounds nearby, restaurants and grocery shopping an easy walk. We used Sidney as our base to explore Saltspring Island, Victoria and nearby wineries. It all worked out perfectly. I've stayed at Corbett House at least 5 times in the past and look forward to more visits. Thanks, Darren!

Super place but they don't have guaranteed guest parking on the street as the street parking is public and unreservable. Try requesting to park in the driveway. I'm sure they would kindly park their own vehicles on the street where there is an available space. I'm sure they would not have a problem doing this. The hosts are kind and reasonable people.
