Exceptionally clean. Amazing staff who were very friendly and attentive. It was refreshing to find a variety of authentic dishes on the menu. We were just there for a snack and a few beers. The spicy calamari was amazing as was the caipirinha! Wonderful view of not only the sea but the village. Special place.

Don’t waste your time or money dinning here. Our waiter was fine and doing his best. The problem was the bar staff who took forever to get drinks out. We ordered a bottle of champagne and it took about 20 mins to find 4 champagne flutes. We ordered the marinated olives and the olives were frozen and so it was difficult to enjoy them. Our pitcher of sangria was tasty but again, took forever to be prepared. When our mains finally arrived after waiting over an hour, they were cold and the two orders of Brazilian steak were similar to beef jerky. This dish was to be accompanied with plantain and instead had a small banana as a substitute. The prawn curry with squash had a nice presentation but the squash was so raw it could not be enjoyed. We substituted fries on the mains for salad and veggies which we had to ask for because we ended up with fries and then were also charged for. We spoke to a “manager” who did very little to assist or make our experience better. There appeared to be another “manager” behind the bar who looked as though he had just stumbled off of the beach - he was no help to anyone! While the rest of the staff were professionally dressed, he was wearing a white USA tank top, glasses and still had his wrist band on from the club he was partying at the night before. He was also smoking near the bar behind the coffee stand which is just gross and unhygienic! We dinned on New Year’s Day and what a disappointment!!…

Highly recommended! I think it is the only place I enjoyed my food in Ponta do Ouro! This restaurant offers fresh sea food! It is not the top notch but quite a decent one! I found the menu prices to be reasonable! It is centrally located, has parking lots and a pretty view on the ocean! It is certainly worth mentioning about friendly, hospitable and ready to help staff.

agora temos a ponta do ouro a 1:30h de maputo, dá para ir almoçar ao café del mar gozar de uma linda vista e até ir a praia maravilhosa da ponta do ouro e voltar para maputo no mesmo dia sem precisar de usar um carro com tração, vale muito a pena, o acesso (estrada) esta uma maravilha, com alguma sorte podes ver girafas ou elefantes na zona da reserva do Maputo. para quem gosta do mergulho tem boa escola na ponta. eu voltarei gostei do serviço e dos mariscos do cafe del mar

Very welcoming restaurant that is very clean and organized. There's a wide variety of drinks and food. The food isn't the best and is pretty pricy. The drinks are good but are also pricy. Nice place to go to to relax and really feel like you're on holiday.
