The gem is breathtakingly beautiful and a sight to behold. The pics do not do it enough justice. The highlight is seeing the rising levels of the lake whilst tucked away enjoying nature. The view is EVERYTHING especially on a sunny afternoon. The service is professional from the moment you enter to when you leave. we were well taken care of. The food is not all that albeit fresh; the farm to fork idea prepares one for a burst of flavours which was not the case. The main dishes were underwhelming though the salad starters were robust with flavours; fresh ingredients of the day.

Lemon Valley is a quirky lodge perched on the hills with a super view over Lake Elementaita. Communication with the property was excellent and it is easy to find. Cabins range in sizes and are converted shipping containers. They are all quite a walk from the main areas but are well appointed and facing the lake - 10/10 for the view. Showers were not hot in any of our 4 cabins, maybe they should be turned on longer? There is also camping available. The pool is on the ridge, again an amazing view, although only 3 sun beds - really not enough. We had an exceptionally long wait for lunch - we found out in the hotel guide later than an up to 2 hour wait for food is ‘normal’ due to fresh ingredients being sourced from the farm... don’t think that’s actually appropriate. Our dinner order include olives on a pizza that were not asked for. But the rest of the meals were tasty, fresh and large portions. Breakfast buffet was great. We were on resident rates which made it quite affordable.

Hello! So a group of friends and acquaintances came together and decided to go for a mini road trip from Nairobi to Elementaita main purpose for our visit was the Sunday brunch. Then we checked in to our cottage which we had booked earlier. The cottage was pretty much the best idea since we had time to bond, chart and enjoy a couple of drinks. It is a cottage with a kitchenette and we had the opportunity to make dinner for ourselves since we had a few challenges when it came to the in house menu some food items were over priced like UGALI!! and the one in charge said that they did not have enough man power to cook food for everyone. That made me question the management because what do you mean by that?? It did not make any sense. The rooms were amazing I thought that it would be cold but that wasn't the case. The bedding were fresh and well spread. Another issue that i would like to address is the fact that they have dogs in the premises,, I'm not against dogs or pets but the problem comes in when i noticed that they had ticks and they looked sickly eh! that is a red flag. I'd urge the establishment to take care of their dogs. Sunday brunch. well we went for the brunch pretty late because we were chilling by the pool. Their buffet section needs a little bit of improvement from how the arrange their food items to how they delivered. I would like to conclude and say that the venue is very beautiful especially the out doors because of the lake and natural surrounding.

'If we were meant to stay in one place we'd have roots instead of feet', said Rachel Wolchin. Charles Schultz shook his head in agreement and responded, 'In life it's not where you go - it's who you travel with'. Welcome to Lemon Valley Farm Estate, a countryside farm house tucked away on top of the hills at the heart of Kasambara village just three hours from Nairobi, between Kikopey and Nakuru town. The farmhouse offers a bucolic yet luxurious escape from the bustle of city life, perfect for a romantic getaway, a relaxed and rejuvenating vacation, a nature lover's retreat, a garden wedding experience, a hiker's camping site, a gang-gang cottage stay, or a backpacker's night-stay. The place boasts panoramic views of the expansive Soysambu Conversancy, the magnificent Sleeping Warrior and the breathtaking Lake Elementaita with spectacular vantage points from the pool, the cabins, the wedding garden, the canteen, and on your hike up the hill. The decor and the and artistic furniture n' fittings in the cosy cabins, the cottage, at the canteen and the chill out spots all round the place are, nothing fancy, just simple-yet-elegant, rustic-yet-chic with some touch of African themed fabric. While here, expect to make furry and feathered friends such as cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, pigs, chicken, ducks, geese, and even chinchillas. There is also their pretty and friendly dog Sparky and the shy cat Fraciah. The food is fresh and the portions are generously served since most of the items on the menu are straight off the farm. The meals are delicious and meticulously prepared by the resident chef as you wait. You'll love the salad, pork ribs and pancakes. There is a closely knit, friendly and remarkable team at the farm offering impeccable service and ready to make your stay memorable. Also, be prepared to find—or rediscover—love among the arabicum flower fields and maybe if you're lucky you might get a few stems as souvenirs to reminisce the Lemon Valley. Plan to visit this hidden gem. #Wandelust #TembeaKenya #OnceUponASaturday
