Although this review is not about the museum, it is about a flight that I took on their C-47 “Second Chance” aircraft. We flew out of Owls Head Transportation Museum in Owls Head , Maine, while it was there for an air show August 5th, 2023. My father flew a C-47, the “Mary E. II”, out of Assam India while serving in the U.S. Air Corp. in 1944-1945. I wanted to experience what he saw while flying the aircraft. It was a fantastic experience for me and I couldn’t have asked for a more gracious and accommodating crew, allowing me to experience just what it takes to operate and fly this incredible aircraft. I am forever grateful to these fine people. Take a flight with them or visit their museum. You won’t regret it. They run a first class operation.

Really tough to get a tee time online, but if willing to keep checking the app, mulling around the facility in the early mornings watching the board you can get on and play some of the other courses as well. Black is one of the toughest courses I have ever played. If you are not long it will be very challenging, but not impossible. CANNOT beat the views especially at sunset when you're scrambling to get as many holes in before you can't see anymore.

They have some rides including one water ride. The food situation was ample. If your the type of person who will only ride high thrill rides then I don’t recommend Adventureland. Easy to get to and never packed. Great summer spot for family’s on Long Island!

When there is snow, I recommend coming to Bethpage State Park. The hills are high and the sledding area is fenced in. Keep in mind that you have to bring sleds, you can't buy them there. Parking is an issue sometimes also.

Visited Barrage for my son's birthday. We tried all 8 beers on tap. The dark beers were especially good, stouts and porter. Small and off the beaten path in a small industrial building. Worth the trip.

Nice little park offers concerts and has a community center. Offers room for 12 Step meetings which is certainly in the public's best interest

This is a really fun activity, yet it is not cheap. The price for 1 race (12 laps, about 10 minutes) is defiantly on the high end. Still, I think it may be worth it for adults and kids 12 and older. Young kids allowed 6 and up) are limited in speed and their control of the car is also limited so maybe it is not the best money spent on them.
