We enjoyed our time at Buffalo Trace. The free tour we took was great and we were luckily to walk up the same day to get the tickets. Our guide Rae was fantastic and kept the whole group engaged the entire time. The tasting included was also very enjoyable. The first day we visited the gift shop was not too busy, but it was later in the day. We stopped by the next morning to grab a few additional items and they were selling Blanton's that day so we ended up waiting about an hour in line, but the good news was the line moved the entire time.

Engaging staff and interesting history of the distillery. I finally found a martini I liked! I found it so interesting that the real estate crash of 2008 saved the castle.

Well maintained beautiful cemetery. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon, the visitor center was closed, but we were able to drive or walk around. Great views.

Absolutely awesome experience! Our tasting was led by the owner who provided an education in history, bourbon production, and marketing. It is an experience you don't want to miss.

I checked out the New Capitol building last week and was in awe of both the architecture and the history inside of its four walls. I was very fortunate to meet Scott Johnson, a Kentucky State Capitol tour guide.

Scott not only knows the building and its history inside and out.....but it is evident that he has such a passion for it and it shows in his storytelling. It's not just facts and figures he recites, but a full narrative showcasing the people that made this building and the characters they were....plus the international lengths they strived to in it's construction.

Scott is an incredible asset to the Commonwealth of Kentucky and history is a vivid and tangible element when he guides you through the building.

I'll be back to enjoy his tour when I return!

We actually came between candy tours unfortunately but was able to view one room of memorabilia. I have personally been on a tour a number of years before and found it worthwhile. Unfortunately my sister who was with me had not. Still we were able to sample some candy. To be honest the candy can be somewhat pricey but it is good. The bourbon balls are a favorite. If visiting the new capitol building it’s not too far away on 2nd Street.

This wildlife education center is exactly what it says it is - and it's incredible! Great for the young and older, it IS handicap accessible, and you'll need about 2 hours to experience everything. Great number of things to see and do both indoors and out. Go and enjoy!

Beautifully preserved historic property. Both Liberty Hall and the Orlando Brown House are well-maintained with wonderful furnishings. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed patience with youth in our group and answering our questions.

Mr. Scott Johnson gave us an excellent informative tour. He showed us the cameras in the Supreme Court aimed at the Justices, and the hidden cameras aimed at the gallery.

If you are looking for a guided tour of Kentucky’s historical, political and military history- let me tell you about the BEST I’ve ever experienced. We toured all three of these museums and each had such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Each brought the history alive. We highly recommend it! Roger - our guide to the old capital was especially informative and interesting!
