For Christmas, I bought a donor membership for $300, so that I can take all three grandchildren (6,8,10) as well as two other ppl. With that, you get -10% at the gift shop and the food court, and a free stroller. A stroller is great, to carry your coats, a backpack, water bottles etc. You can refill your water bottles at some of the water fountains, as well.
The first thing we do when we go is to ask the concierge to print out a daily schedule of events, which includes any demonstrations, any programs, any craft opportunities and any shows like at the Lilly Theater (which is great! Love those shows). We've been many times, and we never have seen it all. The girls absolutely love Greece, the Winterfaire slide, the crafts, the Playscape and everything in the museum. They do love the carousel and we ride for free with our membership.
This is a wonderful experience. Bring water bottles, sandwiches, snacks and change for the centrifugal change whirly-thingy.
If your family gets SNAP or any state assistance, you can get an Access Pass and get in for $2.

I came into the tour and museum with basically zero racing knowledge. I learned quite a bit about the history of racing and particularly the history of the Indy 500. I found it fun and informative and felt that the staff rolled out the red carpet for our group (we were there with the FFA during National Convention week).

My wife visited on a chilly February Saturday in early 2024 during a weekend getaway. I purchased tickets online the night before and paid $38 for 2 adults. We paid for parking at the entrance and it was $10.

We thought the zoo entrance was a bit awkward, we literally walked for 10 minutes before seeing any animal exhibits. We ventured into the conservatory mistakenly expecting birds and butterflies but it was just wet and humid with a lot of plants.

Once we got into the animal area we had a great time. The draw for this Zoo is definitely the dolphins. Out of the dozens of zoos we had been to in the past this was a first. They did have a dolphin show which I felt was a bit short.

Overall it was a good experience. We saw the majority of animals and only a few exhibits were not open. Parking was easy and the gift shop was clean and laid out well.

Definitely a place to explore, but make sure you have plenty of time. There are a lot of things to see. There are four floors. I was finally able to see the van Gogh experience The Lume.
I barely tapped into the massive garden area.
Special $.25 to enter the museum and around $25 for the van Gogh experience.
There’s a very large café and shop. I bought two books for the grands. I paid five dollars more than they were on Amazon. So there’s that option. Also, outside the loom on the fourth floor, there were a lot of gifts from the van Gogh experience. Coffee mugs, tea mugs, water bottles, pouches, t shirts, etc. some very gorgeous items.
The museum is only open until four today, which was a Saturday.
Free parking, and the restrooms were very clean and spacious. They allow the backpack purses but you have to put them on the front of you instead of your back.

This was hubby's and my first time at a professional football game and what a first it was! We had promotional seats so we were quite hight up. However, we still felt a part of everything due to the huge screens on the corners. We loved the game, and we were able to see the field very well. We loved the activities on the field and sidelines. It was almost an immersive experience. Looking forward to going again!

It was my youngest sister’s birthday and I planned a one hour paddle boat experience on the canal in Indianapolis. It was a great sunny day and a mild temperature. We paddled the north end of the canal that is one hour round trip. This is great for families and friends for $42.00

This was a wonderful museum. My family enjoyed it very much. We also enjoyed the gift shop very much, too. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

I visited while on a recent trip to Indianapolis. I didn't realize prior to my visit that a large portion of the museum was closed for renovations (Revolutionary War to WWII). However, this was still a stunning place to visit and I'm glad that I took the time. Particularly touching was all the lists of service personnel in various wars and conflicts.

We sat out in the lawn for a Savannah Bananas game that was taking place there. It was still a great view of the field. Facility seemed clean.

Safe walk along the river. Appreciated the nods to the State of Indiana along the course. There’s a pristine natural landscape along the path, but all cultural sites such as the museums and the NCAA Hall of Champions are closed on Mondays.

Super info about state and people born and raised here! Loved the area with photos and names, most of whom I knew, but did not knew they were from Indiana! Also loved the information about native americans, including info on what atricities were committed- honest reporting! Appreciated learning about Ku Klux Klan, and that Indiana’s original inhabitants came from Kentucky snd points south, explaining why they are so conservative and how they have feared change since ever. As a transplant to Evansville, I could not figure this out and I appreciate finding the answers to my questions at the museum!

Also had a great lunch of salad with chicken, brie, walnuts, squash, spinach… yum! And it was not teeny-tiny!
