What travelers are saying
- natco88Mackay, Australia13 contributionsExcellent hike with our 1 year old in a carrier and 3 year old walking. Established and well used tracks and signs the whole way. Wasn't as challenging or as many steps as we expected, yay. About an hour each way with regular drink stops for the kids. We saw a few kookaburras and also a pair of owls that the kids enjoyed. Make sure you take water and snacks and start the hike nice and early to beat the heatWritten December 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Russell T3 contributionsFirst time berthing a big power catamaran. Holy was fantastic talking me through the process and docking safely. Marina is well set up with very clean amenities and close to everything.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TwoSheds57Melbourne, Australia8,134 contributionsThis is a superb palm lined beach. Beautiful wide sands and gorgeous blue water. This beach is very safe and it’s a much visit on the islandWritten February 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A S NToronto, Canada3 contributionsCute little zoo experience. The daily guided tours at 10am and 3pm daily are well delivered, the staff were very knowledgeable, gave great information about the animals. The crocodile feeding was a sight! What a big fella!
Instead of the "encounter" photo experiences, which were brief and perhaps not worth the cost, I'd recommend the daily tour as you get to pet the kangaroos anyway.Written January 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Good to go when it's quiet so you get a clean run each lap.Written October 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathryn L1 contributionArt class was excellent! Greg was great at explaining and my picture came out beautifully despite never painting before. - Greig WGlen Iris, Australia146 contributionsFrom the initial transfer with our boat skipper (Dave?) through to our first tee-off we were treated with exceptional hospitality. Such a rare experience today. Everything was on-point. Great staff attitude.
The course is exceptional and feels like a tour as much as a golfing experience with few peers. Very challenging course, with some unforgiving rough to each side of fairways. (Pack at least 12 balls, for good measure).Written February 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A beautiful little spot, away from the main beach. Great to take lunch and spend some time thereWritten July 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lauren U1 contributionWe booked our son in for one morning and he loved it so much he wanted to go back the next day! Such a good range of activities for the kids. - BalancedTravellerGold Coast, Australia229 contributionsIt is quite a spectacle to take in the race starts from either the water as a sailor or the land as a spectator. Although there is quality live music playing each night, it felt like the program of activities were very light on from previous years. The restaurants are great, but don't offer anything special for the event. It is a fabulous time to network and meet other sailors. If you like sleep, I would suggest booking a room away from the marina. The music carrying across the water to the marina berths and low-side accommation (unless you out each night of course!).Written September 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rebecca D7 contributionsOur family walked the loop to South East Head then onto Escape Beach - great way to see both points.
We walked through astonishingly diverse and changing landscapes on this walk, and even though is was during school holidays, after passing through the trail junction, saw no one.
The 'Big Chair' is exactly that and a fun, scenic spot for photos.
We recommend you keep walking to Escape Beach for a swim and make it worth your while. Even though the South East Head views are spectacular and breathtaking, it was hot and dry so to turn back and walk the trail in reverse wouldn't have been as enjoyable as forging on.Written September 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
