The old town of Frascati is charming & well worth a visit. The cathedral is stunning & is surrounded by small streets filled with cafes & shops. Well worth staying in Frascati or visiting from Rome.

Falconieri is not a palace but a comfortable villa where a family could live. It has a long and sometimes turbulent history (it received the attention of the RAF) but now restored in fine splendour. The wall-to-wall frescos were astonishing and feature the family members in conversation and in the garden room. It’s a great place to visit.

Cozy place with communal tables and cheap homemade wine. Stopped by for a quick drink and was met with the friendly owner who was watching TV. He didn't speak English, but poured me a glass of his white wine and let me chill.
Wine was good, and he claimed that it was local. Some people dropped by and chatted with him. At the end, it was only €2.50. When night drops, he takes out some tables and chairs to chill outside.

A wonderful experience for the 6 of us at this family run winery in Frascati. We phoned 45 minutes prior to our visit, to see if they would give us a tour and they welcomed us immediately. Our visit was extremely interesting and informative. The tasting of 3 of their wines paired with some local produce was the perfect ending to this visit! Their wine is divine….. so so good . Well done and thank you Flavia and Francesco!

If you are in Frascati, Cattedrale di San Pietro is a must visit. This edifice itself has a history of itself. Moreover, there are just too many eateries and pizzerias. You can never run out of options while at this location.

We found Point Break on our first day in Frascati and returned the next day. Not only do they have a great beer and wine and delicious food, but the staff are so friendly. We will be back before we leave Italy!!!

I wandered by while exploring Frascati on a Sunday and found it open. There were two exhibits - a wonderful exhibit of Roman/Tuscan artifacts on the ground floor and art on the 1st floor. The artifacts and the wonderful placards explaining the history of the region were a wonderful combination. I learned a lot about the history and very much enjoyed the antiquities. The art was a little to modern and abstract for me but others would enjoy better.

This vineyard and winery is a short, inexpensive, train ride from Roma Termini to Tor Vergata. Trains run approximately every 30 minutes. Claudia picked us up at Tor Vergata station and returned us after the tasting. My wife and I received a thorough tour of the villa, vineyards, and winery (which was in production during our visit). We met the owners and were treated like special guests throughout the tour. We selected the three wine tasting with food, which was more than we could possibly have eaten! The tasting and food paring was located in the scenic courtyard and the presentation was outstanding. The wines were good representations of the region. We highly recommend this tour for those that want to get away from Rome for an afternoon and enjoy the Castelli Romani.

A little known church with many optical illusions: apse and dome.
Here Andrea Pozzo expressed his art with a result that has nothing to envy to the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in Rome and the Church of the Gesù in Vienna.
