- sallyrand1Welwyn Garden City, UK3 contributionsEnjoyable for a short visit on a Sunday afternoon whilst husband was having a nap. Suggested by Hotel Mioni and was easy to fine. - Peter KHuyton, UK4 contributionsA good way to see how the Romans lived a way from the city's and at night they use the site for music eventsWritten March 4, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MrsEVaNikolMoscow, Russia291 contributionsThe cathedral towering on the top of the hill is a remarkable landmark of Montegrotto Terme. It looks monumental classics outside but its interior paintings are created in a rather unexpected contemporary art manner. Nevertheless it worth visiting to feel the spirit of the place.Written July 28, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SilverSnailNewcastle upon Tyne, UK179 contributionsThis small Venetian-style villa has recently been restored and is now open, mainly at weekends and run by volunteers. It's a pleasant walk up a wooded path, and the views from the villa are lovely, even as far as Venice across the lagoon on a clear day. My only reservation about the superb restoration would be the ugly modern glass light fittings in all the rooms, totally unsympathetic to the architecture.
Thoughout summer there are events held here, such as outdoor films, talks on flora and fauna, folk dancing and concerts.Written May 15, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We found 2 information boards telling in Italian and English what we were looking at as well as what the buildings looked like in the past. Did not seem as if you could get a closer look than from the road, perhaps because it was off season. Interesting enough to imagine what used to be here, but when we passed it was just a quick pause to read what was written and then move on.Written October 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
