A must if you're staying in Antigua. Go on a Thursday or Sunday for the BBQ and dance party. The sunset pictures are epic and the band played everything from Bob Marley to Justin Bieber to Queen. So much fun!

This really is the main attraction in the entire country, located near Falmouth in English Harbour at the extreme south end of the island. About a 45 minute drive from Dickenson Bay, this national heritage site is the only remaining Georgian naval dockyard in the world. Great for walking and learning about life in the navy back around the Golden Age of Piracy. The harbour itself is a fantastic place to see the many exotic yachts that make their way from all over the globe. The $15 USD admission also gets you into the nearby Shirley Heights fort, with its magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea. You can spend the afternoon on the beach at Halfmoon Bay, also nearby.

Beautiful beach, turquoise waters and white sand! We took a taxi from our cruise port. $10 per person each way with 2 other couples. Just let your driver know what time to come back and pick you up, we were there about 3 hours but I could have stayed longer! Tia was our driver and she was excellent, giving some commentary both on the way there and back.

Took a cab/van from the port. 10 dollars per person (one way). Great beach with chairs, food and drinks. You can walk 5 min to another couple bars also. Prices were fair with. Edgar drink around 7 dollars. Food 12-18 for sandwiches.

One of the most beautiful beaches ever. No resorts and privacy on the edges. Gentle surf and crystal blue water. Restaurant was wonderful.

We just wanted to taxi to a good beach and viewed a positive internet suggestion to visit Anna's at Dickenson Bay. We learned that Dickenson Bay has a vast array of Beach Bars with their own beach fronts, side by side, for quite a distance along this shoreline. The taxi van was just taking everyone to Dickenson Bay but we were happy when he dropped everyone off right at Anna's. We were greeted at the end of the entrance walk by a nice local lady who indicated we should follow her to a beach chair location. After a little distance away from the main Anna's area I inquired if she worked for Anna's and she said no. Apparently she misdirects people away to the beach bar she owns. Although deceptive, we took a chance & actually ended up staying at her area (just around the bend past a land pier). Food & drink were a little more reasonable (actually opted for a lunch lobster) and the beach was fine. We experienced the whole shoreline of the bay with some long walks that we enjoyed so it was all good. Checked out other pricing along the way to verify we were getting a good deal. Best bet would be to walk up & down the beach when u get there to decide your ideal spot. Sandals Resort is along this beach so you know it's a nice area.

Beautiful sight watching the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks which has created the geologic formation, Devil's Bridge. Multiple vendors have set up stalls here which was a bit strange and creates a touristy feel and takes away from the natural beauty of the spot. While it was interesting to see, I would not travel far out of your way to see it. Spending 15 minutes here is enough. However, it would be worth combining with a visit to nearby Betty's Hope Sugar Plantation and to Long Bay Beach

Stunning beach! Very long and can accommodate a lot of people.
There are chairs and umbrellas to rent and a restaurant nearby. A very nice place to spend the day.

We stopped in for a quick visit and got to brush the donkeys for a bit, bought some t shirts, and made a donation to help care for the donkeys. Very happy we visited this special place, which is not very far from Falmouth Harbour.

Betty's Hope was established in 1674 and was the first sugarcane plantation on the island. It is now an open-air museum which tells the tragic but important story of colonization in the region, the importance that sugarcane was to the economy and the role that slavery played supporting the industry. I unfortunately arrived on a Saturday to discover that the museum is closed on Saturdays and Sundays so plan your visit accordingly. However, I was still able to view the twin windmills from outside the closed gate. It was both a beautiful and haunting sight.

After our short visit to Nelson's Dockyard, our ship excursion included a one hour visit for a swim in Pigeon Point Beach on a Saturday afternoon. The beach had a mix of locals and other cruise passengers who most likely had bought an excursion to Nelson's Dockyard and the beach like us. It's not a beach used by cruisers due to the distance from the port so the beach area isn't crowded.

There is a nice, clean washroom across from the parking lot. This facility has sinks and toilets, but no showers. A lady takes your entrance money to use the facilities. We had a cruise ship voucher so paying for this use was not an issue.

There is shade from small trees at the beach, but no loungers/chairs for rent from the small restaurant at the beach near the parking lot. The white sand is soft and extends into the water. It is a clean beach with no sea weed in the water. There is minimal surf as the water gently laps onto the beach. The drop off from shore into the water is gradual - just right for swimmers who like to touch the bottom while paddling around, but also deep enough further on for swimmers who dislike shallower water. There also is a good stretch of sand to walk along as the tide laps gently at the shoreline. The beach is in the vicinity of a harbour so beachgoers can occasionally see ships passing by the shore.

We spent about 45 minutes in the water with my hubby and me taking turns being in the water while one of us sat on the towel beside our belongings. It was enough time to feel refreshed and to have good memories of this beach should we buy another excursion to Nelson's Dockyard.

Take 2 towels along pp - one to sit on and one to dry off.

My husband and I just spent a week at this wonderful resort. The staff, from Judith in the restaurant singing and being infinitely cheerful, and all the people working at the resort, work very hard to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
The beach is incredible and you are not crammed like sardines such as you find at other all inclusive.
The food is better than we expected with many options.
It is a 10 min walk to a Waitrose grocery store for anything extra you may want. The Harbour is located in the same 10 min walk and has restaurants and stores to visit.
It is very safe to walk anywhere on the island.
This resort is a real gem. We ran into people who have been here 14 times and return every year.
