What travelers are saying
- mikeapeterAstley, UK144 contributionsEnjoyable and very detailed tours of the Nimrod and Concorde, outside and in. The guides were very knowledgeable and showed us all over both aircraft. We even sat in the pilots seats and took loads of photographs. Plenty of parking. Book for an early tour to avoid long queues to get into the park later in the day. See aircraft coming and going from the viewing area, the kids will love it. Thoroughly recommended.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CazRobNorth Yorkshire, UK152 contributionsI only use Manchester airport as a last resort but flew recently to Hanoi via Doha. We were flying business and you have to share this lounge with several other airlines and ‘day trippers’ paying an access charge. I don’t have a problem with this in principle but you have to check in at a desk that services two lounges and all classes of passengers. No priority for business or first class passengers. Fortunately it wasn’t too busy but I would have been miffed if I’d had to queue. The two women on the check in desk we’re dreadful - really miserable. Once in the food and drinks were good - a bit off putting to see people staggering around guzzling bottles of champagne but clearly they wanted their money’s worth!Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marilyn LCape Town, South Africa45 contributionsDue to travelling business class we had complimentary access to this lounge. We have used this lounge twice. The first time we were not impressed, the food on offer was not tempting, and there was very little choice. Persons who chose you use the facility as paying guests . I think they would feel ripped off. The charge for the use of the facility is approximately £30 per person.
Our 2nd visit a short time ago was a much better experience. There were more choices on the hot food. In fact, the Curry was quite tasty. Also, on offer boiled rice and a Chilli dish. A salad bar, cold meat, fruit , muffins, cheeses, crackers, and bread.
I would not like to think I would have paid the fee to use this facility. People would get a better deal using the eateries and cafés within the Airport.Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Spent 3 very relaxing and enjoyable hours waiting for my flight home to Tenerife.
The breakfast and lunch options are very good and I’ll definitely be booking in again in November when I fly out of T3.
I could happily have spent the entire day there.
See you in November.Written February 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - BillyBoo186364Sheffield, UK255 contributionsThere are pros and cons to this
Pros- the food is nice and replenished regularly, it’s comfy and away from the crowds
Cons- for what you pay it’s pretty average and feels like it’s just been shoved in a corner of the airport to fit one in no windows which i personally like watching the planes come and go in other lounges we have usedWritten November 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidUK2010York, UK331 contributionsYou can get good views of the aircraft movements. The lounge can be busy and depends on time of day. As a TUI guest this time they had seats reserved for customers which was good especially when you leave your seat to go get food and drinks.
Sadly every time went to the coffee machines they were out of milk. You then had to go find a staff member whom seemed to be annoyed, but if the cups were bigger then no need for refills as quickly.
There is food which is good if going on a flight with no free food or drinks. Unsure what a lounge costs, but is worth it since you get fast pass security too.Written February 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain11,524 contributionsWH Smith is a shop located in the Manchester Airport, one of the most important cities in the center of England. I came here, when I was waiting a flight to return to my country. I bought a sandwich of pigs under blankets take away to breakfast. It was ok. A pragmatic place in the airport.Written July 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
