What travelers are saying
- Ursula SautterCounty Dublin, Ireland5 contributionsOur visit to the observatory was just amazing. Not only do they have great equipment (25x and 250x magnification) that allows you to see stars and whatnot which otherwise are almost invisible but also a wonderful staff: our guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable and had the gift of bringing arcane information across in a lively and spellbinding way. A must-see!Written October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KomatorBarcelona, Spain894 contributionsAfter being the whole day in a tour (in a bus and walking), spending some time in thermal waters is a nice experience. It wasn't really crowded, and the people there were both Peruvian and tourists.
It was a great relaxWritten February 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice view, good facilities in general (even though some showers were not working).Written June 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DonCesarNuremberg, Germany2,030 contributionsThe stop itself it’s so so, while the whole area has some nice spots while driving through. It was cloudy on the volcano tops, so my experience was not complete. Still the best part of the road.Written February 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bill BPueblo, CO1,207 contributionsAs we visited many plazas in the larger cities we visited it was exceptionally nice to visit a much smaller town/village and take in the cultural significance of their plaza. We were not disappointed as it was a terrific place to relax and just watch the locals as they went about their daily lives.Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoddersSunderland, UK327 contributionsWow what a busy church, most Peruvian churches are very busy with statues etc but this one even more so.Written September 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael N.1 contributionWe were able to get a reservation to go up and visit a small observatory in Chivay. Two very powerful telescopes and a very knowledgable guide took us on a beautiful trip around the sky. The clear night at elevation made for an evening of discovery. We would love to visit again.Written October 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Graham BFordingbridge, UK43 contributionsOur journey from Chivay to Puno was very comfortable and enjoyable. The scenery is stunning. But perhaps what made this trip was our 'guide' Flavio. He gave us a humorous and interesting commentary not only about the sites we passed, but about Andean life, it's people, culture, cuisine, and wildlife - even going as far as showing us all the best way to chew coca leaves. Excellent and highly recommendedWritten October 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- bougainvillea5Cork, Ireland3 contributionsTraditions, quality and creativity gathered, this is what I believe Made in Colca represents.
When visiting the shop, I fell in love with the softness of the wool and the original designs!
The owner makes you feel welcome and is very responsive to your needs. I bought a lovely baby dress for my niece and she looks absolutely adorable in it!
I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an authentic gift , or if you want to get something truly special for yourself.
Got also a stylish, yet super comfortable poncho that I'm already wearing every day here back in Ireland!!Written September 28, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
