What travelers are saying
- JamesH88Cirencester, UK38 contributionsA beautiful beach not far from Fiskardo. It was our favourite on the island. The downside is it’s pebbles so bring appropriate footwear, the upside is it’s not thronging with sun loungers like other beaches on the islandWritten September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James BCape Town Central, South Africa5 contributionsFiskardo waterfront is as pretty as people say. Lots of shops but more on the expensive end. The romoan cemetry about 200m past the waterfront is worth a visit. We had a car and drove the 1.5km to foki beach. Compared to others weve seen this was rather disappointing. Stones rather than sand or pebbles and water more murky and green tinged than med blue. There are a number of short walks around the fiskardo area which is great for those who like to experience nature. The drive to fiskardo has very pretty and lush countryside. Definitely a must see.Written July 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Scott57 contributionsBeautiful harbour village where you can admire the super yachts whilst dining in lovely restaurants. Can be a little busy when the ferry's arrive.Written February 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MarkHolt, UK2 contributionsHad the beach all to ourselves. Snorkelled with a huge turtle and watched an octopus dig itself a hole in the pebbles. - KATEM12 contributionsFairly quiet pebble beach. The water is very clear and good for swimming. Sun loungers and umbrella €15 which was pretty reasonable. There is a decent family run taverna at the back of the beach which is a good spot to have lunch, they have daily specials.Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Spectacle64Yorkshire, UK474 contributionsNot a trek, more of a stroll. Well worth exploring the peninsular and it will only take you 30 minutes, an hour maximum...Written October 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HJManchester, UK51 contributionsReally good walk/hike but you do need a map. I managed to download one and track our progress. It's easy to get lost/deviate from the path in places. There a point where it looks like the path has collapsed and been fenced off a bit further on but it opens so you can proceed. Also it is steep in places and rocky. We did it so we arrived at the taverna in Foki near the end for very welcome refreshements.Written September 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dandy13 contributionsSpectacular morning drive down to this lovely little place, so peaceful and picturesque. The taverna wasn’t open for our visit but there was a delightful family of mother cat and three kittens to entertain us. Sadly there are buildings going up nearby.Written September 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JilllianExton, UK1,770 contributionsGreat little beach. No Sunbeds or bar as not big enough. Walkable from Fiscardo. Just nice to sit and watch all the day boats come and go.Written September 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MickeyBob43Worcestershire45 contributionsWent on a boat trip to Fiskardo. Beautiful little place, easy to walk fro one end to the other. Saw the cemetery, very interesting.Written October 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nick SOxford, UK137 contributionsA blazing hot day meant that the tree-shaded walk up to the two lighthouses and on to the ruined church was very welcome. Take a drink, though, and watch your step on the way back, which can be steep and the rocks slippery.
A beautiful ruin to look at and scramble through, and once you can get your bearings it becomes more obviously "church-like," but if you are hoping for the tidy remains of medieval churches we find in England... well, this is more unkempt.
A lovely expedition, not too long and adequately signposted, this makes a good break from the port and beach.Written August 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Having walked around the harbour and the surrounding narrow lanes we walked to the top of the village where this beach is situated.
In comparison with the rest of the area the beach is rather disappointing.
It is a small crescent shaped beach with shingle and pebbles. There were no facilities on the beach, no sunbeds or umbrellas, plenty of restaurants nearby. There were a handful of people sat on their towels on the beach when we visited.
To be honest the sea did not look overly inviting, there was a film of something floating on the surface, more than likely discharged from one of the boats moored up near by.
Fiskardo is beautiful, however the beach would not be a place to spend lots of time. Perhaps for a quick visit to see the harbour from a different angle.Written July 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
