- Joseph MEast Sandwich, MA2,172 contributionsA Small - 2 1/2 Room - Museum, but we had a great curator who showed us everything and had a great deal of knowledge to share. We learned about the Stanley's other businesses and inventions (beyond the steam driven car). And, it was fun to see the cars -- they all still run. Well worth a visit. $8 Admission for Adults.Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- COMaggie51Bend, OR8 contributionsWe are so fortunate to have found this lookout at peak Fall colors. We went up yesterday and spent a lot of time just gazing out at the expansive landscape, talking to other visitors and, of course, taking pictures. Yes, there is a $10 fee, but it is privately owned, and the owner has put in a lot of time and expense on the road and viewing area. Well worth it!Written October 6, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Amy FSandwich, MA20 contributionsExcellent! Really nice small museum, and very interesting, especially if you are a skier. Theresa gave a wonderful guided tour if the museum. A lot of interesting artifacts to look at. Great historical tour of how skiing took its roots in Maine. We spent about an hour there. Would highly recommend.Written February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elvis355Providence, RI402 contributionsIf you’re looking for a taste of everything local, including fantastic woodfired pizza, this place is a must stop. A variety of craft beers from Maine, fresh produce and eggs, local maple syrup and honey, arts and crafts, a variety of refrigerated goods, wine, and souvenirs. They have it all!
Kate and Brian are two awesome, hard-working people that have brought the community together by supporting the local farmers, artisans and craftspeople.
And they’ve got a variety of delicious wood-fired pizzas and freshly baked breads to choose from.
It’s on the road to Sugarloaf, but worth a special visit even if you don’t ski!Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The yoga room is stunning and very peaceful, loved the big windows that look out at the trees. The dharma talks were very enjoyable, and the food was great. Really enjoyed Ellyrie's yoga classes. Highly recommend!Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- unlockedblockCape Neddick, ME5 contributionsWe took advantage of Maine Huts and Trails' option for private rental of the whole hut. We booked the Flagstaff Hut and headed up with a group of friends for an early November weekend. Kevin, the caretaker, met us at the trail head to drive our belongings to the hut. He showed us around got us comfortable with the hut and its off-grid magic. After that, we were on our own. We enjoyed the amazing trails for running, mountain biking and hiking. The hut is in good condition and has everything you might need for cooking (less the food, we brought that). We enjoyed the many puzzles and games at the hut. It is nice to be without cell service once in a while. Kevin was there to pick us up on Sunday and we were sad to go. We hope to return soon either for another private rental or during the typical service with a caretaker.Written November 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
