First up, this was the highlight of our two-week holiday for my boys (aged 12 and 14) who loved clambouring on the rocks. Why only 4 stars? From the reviews I thought it was going to be bigger, more expansive and more impressive. We explored it pretty quickly, so then filled in some time going on a lovely walk in the neighbouring woods. Definitely worth a visit though if you're in the area

Large parkland with some cool features - mini golf, boat hire (unfortunately not possible when we visited due to drought), interesting water play area. Nice place for picnic and a mooch

The best way to discover this natural park is to go for a hike. I suggest the 7,5 kilometre walk that passes a viewpoint (La Roche aux Faucons) and the gorge Fondry des Chiens. This walk can be found online or you can get it from the tourist office in Nismes. Bring enough water with you on a warm day.
