- Stephan OEnschede, The Netherlands660 contributionsWe unforenately visited on a rainy morning. We went there not so much for a beach visit, but to visit the ecopark nearby (Tajung Tuan). It was low tide which made it ideal for Kids to play in the little Pools this created. One could walk up to 100 meters to the seashore. When We came back in the afternoon, the sun was shining and it was high tide. Now the beach was pretty full with local families. There were subboards to rent, bananasfloats behind motorboats. Beatifull and fun place to be. There are public toilets and a little foodcourt for food & drinks. You can also rent small tents so you can sit in the shade. Perfect for a nice day at the beach!Written July 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rusty19740Surfers Paradise, Australia24 contributionsVery small but beautiful spot to explore and learn about pineapples. Our guide was extremely passionate and informative about growing and identifying different types of pineapples. He also explained their focus on sustainability and how none of the plant goes to waste. Even the leaf fibre is used to make clothes on a sewing machine they have. The pineapple juice was so amazing after our tour we had to bring some home!Written February 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The main road goes all the way upvthe hill to visit the lighttower that was build by the Portugese in 1562. You cannot visit it inside. You can walk around it but due to the busjes around it, there no more great views of the coastline. On the way to the lighthouse there is a path to monkey beach. The first part is quilt steep, but further on it is easier. You walk through the jungle to a nice beach. Several local families wete already there. Unfortenately there was a lot of litter and plastic on the beach. People should not make such a mess. The other beach we went was by trail behind the lighthouse and ended with a lot of stairsteps which went steep downwards. It was a more secluded beach with also a local family and a lot of rubbish. That really was disappointing. When we went back and out of the park there was a group of monkeys passing by on their way to the park. It was great to see them move along.Written July 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
