For centuries main square of Toruń was a site of trade, tournaments and parades, announcements of sentences and performance of public executions. In centre of square you can find monumental Town Hall. Over 150 year ago, a monument of Copernicus was placed on the market, alongside a monument of a violin-playing rafter, a protagonist of a local legend.

This is a must if you are in Torun!
We had a great time. We did the 2pm English/ Polish session and it was great for our mixed family.
The guys who run it are absolutely stunning and we all enjoyed it.
There is one way system so that helps with managing the groups that come and visit.
    Highly (!!!) recommended.

The Town Hall isn't just an old town hall. It's actually a museum with a significant collection of art, both religious art dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries and secular art, and other exhibits.

Some of the art is quite exceptional -- the kind of objects you expect in a much more famous museum.

Unfortunately, some of the art is not curated with signage and I saw no docents. So you have to know what you're looking at. I didn't see an English language guidebook.

You can also climb the tower for sweeping views of Turon.

This tremendous medieval city is well-managed, clean, and full of museums and restaurants, and live music.

Great experience for adults too, we've heard some legends and been a part of them.
We also had a Street game which was really nice and funny, very nice way to integrate the team!

Absolutely amazing. Fun but also a great insight into what it's like to have to rely on all of your other senses.

Don't read the reviews as some will spoil your visit.

Add the blind painting- which isn't painting but drawing- it was a nice way to finish the tour and gave us all a lovely keepsake of the day.

The post-Franciscan Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was erected in the second half of the 14th century. It is one of the most outstanding artistic and architectural achievements of sacral architecture in Poland. In the 14th century it was the highest hall church in Central Europe with the naves and aisles 26.8 metre high.

The museum contained lots of information of the livelihood of the people who lived in typical tenement in Torun. Further through the museum there is more information and artefacts about Copernicus. The information boards are all in Polish, English and German.
The 4D film was only in Polish - I don’t know if there are other language options during the summer months.

The walls are quite long and the best way to see them is from the river looking towards the town. Definitely quite impressive.

I love going to speedway in Poland and this is a great track to end the speedway GP season. Have been to the last few there and it never fails to please. I guess the only downside is the fact that a lot of Polish fans seem to want to get horrendously drunk rather than watch the racing. Be prepared to have beer spilt everywhere, people stumbling everywhere and constant interruptions as they go back to the bar. ( I have to say my experience is that they are all friendly drunks not aggresive😃🍻)

It is modestly hidden in an alley, so there are not many tourists. Actually, this church is the Cathedral of Torun. It is also the church where Copernicus was baptized.

It is so tall and majestic that the full view could only be seen from the other side of the Vistula River. In a nearby place, you can only look up at it. Like the old Chinese says: "仰之彌高 (The more you look up to it, the higher you feel)".

The interior is richly decorated with Rococo and Baroque art. Visitors can pay to climb up the monumental west tower.
