- Shane BTe Awamutu, New Zealand827 contributionsDeserves better then average to be honest 20 minutes and you have pretty much done it all. Have owned and ridden bikes in the 70s and 80s a bit of a nostalgia trip. Lots of bikes from around that era. If you know who Roger Freeth is or rode bikes 40 years ago worth going if you don't may not be for you.Written April 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Coastal270076393603 contributionsWe took on The Lost Hut of Antarctica.... a fantastic escape room. We've completed plenty as a family of four with two teenage boys...this one was the best we've done! The challenge level was spot on for our group and the puzzles, locks and clues all worked without a hitch. Highly recommended.Written January 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tipsfromatravellerChristchurch199 contributionsWe cycled as a group of 5 from Prebbleton. It was pretty well signposted although a couple of times I could have missed the turn off in Lincoln. We really liked the way it followed a river to the lakes. We saw heaps of birds. Some areas of track need to be cleared of weeds and low hanging trees. It was a hot day and we ran short of water. I was really surprised there wasn't a tap at Motukarara. It took us longer than anticipated due to heat and uncomfy bike seats. We carried a lot of gear as we stayed the night at the Little River Camp Ground in a cabin. Allow another 20 mins to cycle there and some of it is uphill. Lovely rustic eco campground. We cycled down to have dinner at the Little River Hotel. Very average meal but we were hungry so it was fine. Ate lunch at the LR cafe and gallery the next day - awesome. All in all we loved the adventure.Written November 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carolyn MChristchurch, New Zealand34 contributionsVisited Kate Sheppard house with my mother who was in Christchurch from out of town. We are both lovers of history, especially that of colonial significance. Was able to park right outside the property on Clyde Road. There is no fee to park. Entered through the lovely wooden gates and felt transported back in time into the secluded, beautiful gardens that led us up to Kate Sheppard's house. We were greeted inside the property by a very knowledgeable, and helpful young staff member who introduced us to the property and what was inside. The displays within the house gave us an amazing insight into Kate's life, the NZ suffragette movement, and the New Zealand Women's Christian Temperance Union. What was achieved by Kate and her supporters for women, both in New Zealand, and worldwide was incredible, and Kate Sheppard House provides a fantasic insight into it all. Definitely worth a visit!Written September 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Old Bald Rocker138 contributionsWe visited on the anniversary of the tragic mosque shootings to pay our respects and were welcomed with "Covid-19 restricted" open arms. Very friendly guide. Signed the book of condolence and visited the temporary display of well wishes from across the globe. Very poignant visit.Written May 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TinaOmokoroa Beach, New Zealand5 contributionsI literally searched the Internet for a good Pool with a Slide in Christchurch and this one came up. It has a Hydroslide which opens at 12pm so we got there just after that. Kids had an absolute blast and I sat under one of the trees and enjoyed the sun. It's definitely good value for money and has good facilities.Written January 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CaptainCompassChrist Church Parish, Barbados176 contributionsThe locals' secret - great view, especially for events on the pier, BUT only one road in and out and it was washed away in the 1990s. I'll be glad when they put in Harry Ell's road from there to the Summit Road.Written June 17, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
