- Sivasankar SivapragasamPetaling Jaya, Malaysia62 contributionsThe park at Waikato uni is very green. Breezy winds passing through, and ambience is very superb clean.Written November 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heidi OAuckland, New Zealand14 contributionsWe noticed the sculptures well before we knew anything about them, and thought they were a fantastic way to celebrate the cycling possibilities from Te Aroha. Then when we had lunch at Ironique and saw all the lovely furnishings there we realised there was a theme emerging, and finally learnt about Adrian Worsley and his work. Beautiful stuff.Written July 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JElliot32New South Wales, Australia3,811 contributionsAcross the Tasman, even people with just a passing interest in Rugby have usually heard of the legendary All-Black player, Colin Meads. So, we stopped in Te Kuiti to check out his statue. It is a really impressive work in black bronze, and much more memorable than the statue of the giant shearer at the other end of town. In life Meads was a bit of a man mountain and the statue depicts his size and strength in no uncertain terms. The statue stands outside the local I-site visitor centre, which was closed when we visited the town. For me that was a shame as the centre includes an exhibition of the playing days of the Meads brothers, Colin and Stan, who also played for the All Blacks.Written April 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mandy CoombsNorth Petherton, UK554 contributionsWe stopped off in Morrinsville because we saw the big cow and the cow trail on Google. The painted cows around the town were brilliant, mostly all within walking distance of each other so easy to see lots of them. Would definitely recommend a stop off to see some cows if you’re nearby.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ToujoursLaRouteParis, France1,197 contributionsWell, it seems that there are several places in the region claiming the birth of Sir Hillary. Nevertheless, this small free street museum is very nice, you can learn a lot of interesting things not only about the man who first conquered Everest, but also about the region, about New Zeeland, about the attractions in the area etc.Written November 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - okinawafox17San Diego, CA3 contributionsWe had time to kill, checking out of our Air B&B in Rotorua and not being able to check into the next one in Hamilton till much later. So we thought this would be a fun stop. It was! Totally random and ridiculous! And so funny. It was worth it to drive 45 minutes out of the way to see it. But it is definitely not ON the way. You'll drive a ways out on some really fun, really pretty roads into the middle of nowhere, so you'll need to decide if the fun factor is worth the drive to you. The kids thought it was amusing, but didn't think it was worth the detour. I totally thought it was worth it!Written December 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bea TWellington, New Zealand390 contributionsWe just walked over the domain but I was impressed by the facilities. A nice play ground for kids and everything well maintained and just one bridge away from Raglan Main Street.Written July 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter BHamilton, New Zealand238 contributionsLots of small easy walks connecting with each other as you stroll around this wood, the Totara walk does have a steep bank to go up and down but there are steps to help, the reward for walking the Totara walk is a viewing of a 1,000 year old Totara tree which was spared from the loggers.
Picnic tables are available to sit at and listen to the wildlife.
A small reserve, but walks for most abilitiesWritten January 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
