The temples are beautiful and impressive. You can also hike inside the archeological site. Interesting museum. A great visit that I highly recommend!

This was a once in a lifetime experience, and I’m so glad we did it. Just utterly amazing. Book your tickets online months before you go, otherwise you have no chance of getting in.

Very interesting display with roof covering, ancient walls and displays with written explanation. Very well presented, easy access, definitely recommend.

Very nice and well kept archeological site. If you are interested in archeology and/or art/history, you cannot miss this megalithic display. 1 ticket (eur15 per adult) includes access to the very near located Hagar Qim Temples, too. You can easily reach the temples from Valletta on a direct bus route.

It can be hard to see the cart ruts when plants are growing. Signs direct you to a parking area nearby, but there are no signs indicating the actual ruts or giving any interpretation. We never did find the intersecting ruts, or the caves where people lived as late as 1835.

Not as impressive as St Paul's Catacombs in Mdina but still interesting. The catacombs are cut into a rock face and there were more than we were expecting so worth a visit

Can you say solid? The walls are imposing for their breadth. They were increased over time to deal with the improvements in artillery firepower. The Knights of St John were good at their job of tending the sick but perhaps just as good at building fortifications.

Church of the Annunciation of our Lady also known as the Carmelite Church of Mdina. A true baroque style architectural gem , built between 1660 and 1675 can be found as you are walking the streets of Mdina.
It is very interesting to be seen - it is richly decorated with paintings of Mattia Preti, Stefano Erardi and Giuseppe Cali - only to mention a few. Red marble, gold leaf and numerous sculptures make it very beautiful and indeed definitely worth a few minutes of your time and a few pictures taken.
Visiting is free of charge - so it is only a matter of investing some time of yours when you are visiting Mdina.

Tiny site in central Malta. These ruins were pretty but not the most impressive on the island. The info boards were also pretty worn and faded. We had a better experience of temples at Hagar Qim and Ggantija on Gozo

Kinda neat to see a discovery in progress.

Farmer discovered ruins while planting and now its an archeological site.

As it moves forward tourists will be able to participate in the dig efforts under close supervision of course.

    Still worth visiting today.
