But not the best Cathedral you will ever visit but for 7 euro you may as well kill half an hour.
Cadiz is fairly difficult to get to from most parts of the UK, so for us we wanted to tick off as many boxes as possible whilst we were here.
The iglesia San Jaun De Dios is much more interesting with some stunning features, it's near by and free to go inWritten September 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Stalls selling healthy fresh food were winding down, but all the eating outlets were in full flow. So availed of some of these for a memorable lunch.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eaton_OutGreenville, SC622 contributionsWent to Jerez de la Frontera on a tour bus to a winery. Crossed the old bridge on the way out and this wonderful new bridge on our return trip. Marvelous engineering and it looks a bit like the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston SC.Written April 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian S4 contributionsInteresting museum with some real treasures that are worth a visit for an hour or two. - MrsWYN-RNorth Yorkshire, UK3,025 contributionsHubby and I walked along Paseo Canalejas, the promenade from the Cathedral enjoying the sea air and sunshine. The path is wide and flat and there are bench seats if you need a rest along the walkway. Watch out for the cycle route between the road and path. Some lovely beaches along the way and some nice views of the city and coastline. Worth a wander.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA16,858 contributionsThis is the center of a beautiful park along the waterfront. We spent some time here strolling slowly, admiring all the busts of heroes of former Spanish colonies. Nice landscaping.Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Charles SNorthamptonshire, UK1,051 contributionsBuilt around 1688 this lovely church is dedicated to Saint Felipe Neri. The ornate barrel-vaulted interior features a gilded 18th century Rococo-style main alter, above which is the remarkable painting of the 'Immaculate Conception' by the famous Spanish painter, Murillo. There is a commemorative plaque on the west side of the church noting a provisional parliament assembly which took place at the church in 1812 to lay the foundations of Spain's first constitutional monarchy. Worth a visit.Written July 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
