This is a very pleasant walking area, lots of things to see. The only thing really stops me from giving it five stars is that some of the features, like the fountain, are not functioning, it appears, in winter. That said it's a really pleasant area and well worth an hour of your time spent walking.

If you do 1 thing in Baden Baden, do this. Apart from the views from the top, the ride up itself if pretty special - especially if, like us, you saw a naked man sitting solo in the carriage coming downhill! He looked like Rasputin in case you stumble across him yourself.

Very cool and a fabulous gallery. Mixed feelings about the current exhibition but you should visit. Very interesting and different museum shop.

I visited this castle on a particularly rainy and wind swept day. So the views were not perhaps as great as they might have been. The castle is well preserved and has features to enable Walkers to walk around it. Well worth visiting. Particularly on a good day.

Easy to get to by bus from Baden Town Centre, you then take the mountain railway ( funicular) to the top around 9 euro return. Fantastic views from the top, paragliders launching as you watch and a walking track to view points. Go in clear weather! There is a bar/ restaurant serving lovely food at reasonable costs, great place for lunch! Allow 4 hours to get there and back and have a good time at the top with lunch.

We did the German tour. The guide was kind and friendly. She spoke both English and German, encouraged us to ask questions, if needed. Beautiful old casino

From the very convenient car park against a main road, the fountain is just a short 20 to 25 minutes walk. A peaceful spot. Plleasant walk

An entrance to the Schwarzwald National Park so there was lots of people here on a weekday in September before German schools started back up. There are several large parking lots that include bus parking and RV parking. There was also overflow parking on the dirt lot just below the edge of the hill, you can see it from the end of the parking area. There is at least one restaurant and food counter. There are two excellent souvenir shops (might be owned by the same concessioner). There are also picnic tables near the shops and there are hikes but we just had a quick beer to see what all the fuss was about. A good place to stop for clean restrooms, stretch the legs, have a snack, and get a souvenir but there are prettier places to see the Black Forest.

An out of the way rose garden, on top of a hill, overlooking the Black Forest, what is not to love! A must see. Meticulously maintained.

If visiting Baden-Baden the Pump-House, or Trinkhalle, is a must. The building itself is impressive, but the 90 meter arched walkway is adorned with 14 Frescos which depict the lore of the Black Forest area of Germany. At Christmas time the Pump-Room is even more beautiful, as it was lined with many exquisite nativities and a very large Christmas Tree!
