- Clare5 contributionsWe visited the zoo for their primate experience. This included a zoo tour (with other members of the public) followed by a session feeding their squirrel monkeys- we had 3 family members doing the experience and 2 spectating. If you haven't booked all 3 slots you may end up sharing the experience with someone else. The tour covered most of the animals in the small zoo but also included meeting and feeding their resident porcupine, feeding the squirrel monkeys mealworms through their mesh and stroking one of their pythons. For £8 each for the tour this in itself was great value. The primate experience was £25 per person but included the tour for 2 people (whoever was booked for the experience and a spectator). This included hiding small grubs in different enrichment toys for the squirrel monkeys to find and then going into their enclosure and hand feeding them mealworms and different fruit or veg and then watching them play/explore the enrichment tour. We all had a fantastic time and Emily who led the tour and the experience was amazing- she was friendly and enthusiastic and was able to answer all our questions- pitching her answers really well for different ages.
The entire experience, including the tour lasted just over 2 hours and didn't feel rushed at all.
I eould definitely recommend this experience and would do it again in future.Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - steve7angieWindsor and Maidenhead, UK15 contributionsJust had a new putter grip fitted by the excellent pro and all round good egg Steve Geary. Have also had lessons from Steve Many years ago and can highly recommend his teaching techniques as well. Steve is always very helpful and nothing is ever to much trouble for him.Written August 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - phillip gMaidenhead, UK3 contributionsIf you get stranded wave your brolly and I'll come and rescue you .............the parting words from the rather jolly guy at the ticket booth , it's felt like non stop rain since September , we've played twice this year on wet courses clearly this was going to be the same , it did not disappoint ,the fairways were waterlogged in a lot of places and even with winter rules it was sometimes hard to find a spot to replace your ball if you found a particularly wet spot ,most shots plugged , amazingly the greens were really good condition some fast some slow so it was difficult to consistently putt. The one bunker I found had plenty of freshly baked sand to play out of . The 18 holes were pretty exhausting and I'd clocked up 11.5km through heavy muddy ground , it wasn't a day to protect a handicap ,I shot my 2nd highest ever score ,but we all had a great laugh and that's what it's all about . All staff were very friendly. Roll on the summer .Written February 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GVB1958Hayes, UK272 contributionsI visited as one of four who are widely travelled when it comes to golf courses. Temple did not disappoint. With friendly staff throughout the complex we felt very covid secure during our visit. Nice clubhouse and a lovely practice putting green which set the standard for the golf course which was very well presented indeed. The members we encountered were very friendly and a credit to the club and I mention this as visitors are often held with disdain .We both ate and drank here and prices were very reasonable. The golf course is not without some hilly terrain so if aged or infirm bear this in mind. Overall though we enjoyed our visit.Written June 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LouLukerHighworth, UK6 contributionsFantastic surprise flight for Hubby. Family visiting from Australia were able to spectate, which made it even more special. Beautiful weather was the icing on the cake. The Hurricane Heritage team were so welcoming and helpful. My BofB Aircraft obsessed Hubby was in his element! The video is amazing and such a great keepsake.Written November 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TarynLauraLondon, UK27 contributionsTara has a wealth of river experience and I have now been on multiple of her guided tours, some on my own and others with my 4 year daughter. Everything is very well organised, the equipment is top of the range and Tara strikes a great balance between a lesson and a tour, it’s a fab experience - thanks Tara.Written November 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
