What travelers are saying
- Daniel M1 contributionHighly recommend infinity float in Leeds. I had never floated before and that staff were great at explaining everything and simply to set you up for a great experience. The room is spacious and clean, equipped with everything you need.
I’ve since gone back for further floats and the experience gets better and better each time. I’ve noticed my posture improve and it has been a great benefit in advancing my meditation practice. I’ll be coming back again. 5 starsWritten November 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - plake19705 contributionsWent to see eden house here. What a lovely setting. Make shift bar and a fantastic venue really made the gig. Only issues i would say is the toilet situation. 3 toilets for a venue that can hold up to 300 people it was a free for all men in womens women in mens and everyone in the disabled oneWritten November 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - seattaxiCambridge, UK1,218 contributionsLarge (ish) local park. Close to Uni and often full of young uns. Good for a stroll and a natter away from the bustle of the cityWritten January 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Catherine KWakefield, UK11 contributionsI can't rate the family workshops at the Discovery Centre highly enough! The activities are always well thought out and delivered by extremely knowledgeable staff, who are happy (and able!) to answer any question thrown at them by the children! The family workshops generally comprise an hour of learning and activities followed by an hour in the stores, exploring the items relating to the workshop topic. The stores are full of over a million items that are not currently on display in Leeds' other museums, and I think you could probably explore for a month and still see something different every day! Every single visit is awe-inspiring, and captures the imagination of young and old. Anyone who lives in Leeds and hasn't yet visited should put the Discovery Centre on their 'must see' list. I keep promising myself a midweek lunchtime visit, but without the children!Written August 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wbdog50Cleveland, OH105 contributionsThis was our final stop on a week long golf trip, and it was a good way to finish. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant overlooking the intimidating finishing holes, then played two of the three challenging nine hole loops. Most of us rented buggies (carts to the Americans), which came in handy after a long week of golf and a lot of up and down hill on this course.Written June 6, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul Davies2 contributionsWe had a fun couple of hours at the pony party. It was well organised and the children enjoyed walking the ponies, feeding the goat and doing a series of racing challenges. The outdoor barn can get cold if the outside weather is cold but nothing that hats/coats and gloves can't combat.
Good fun for the group of 12 that attended!Written November 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It certainly takes you back in thought to the days of rich northern industrialists who clearly felt that there was a competitive need to build a bigger and better twin hall than other towns in the area. They certainly succeeded here and this magnificent building is certainly worth a look.Written September 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BecNottingham12 contributionsI mean, the sights, the smells, the staff. Really scrummy product and all beautifully wrapped. I picked up gifts for 3 people from here in October. I'll no doubt now be getting all my Xmas pressies from here too!Written November 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were immediately made to feel welcome by the friendly team who briefed us on selecting an unpainted piece of pottery and how to achieve various paint effects by using the different brushes, sponges, stamps and other pieces of equipment. Also an excellent selection of drinks (milk shakes highly recommended), cakes and snacks.
The generous 2 hour slots are more than enough time to create amazing art works, which need firing to finish and which can be picked up 7 days later.
Can highly recommend this as a great social activity, being creative in a friendly setting while taking the opportunity to have a multi generational family conversation! Great fun.
Many thanks to the Jackrabbits team - we will be going again in future!Written February 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. John in the Pro-Shop was very welcoming and Claire and her team in the clubhouse were extremely helpful throughout to make sure our day ran smoothly. I spent some time talking to the club's members (and their soon to be captain) and found everybody to be approachable and happy to talk. The feedback from those out on the course itself was fantastic. All in all, a great success. Thank you Alwoodley Golf Club.Written March 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
