- JH2711Newcastle upon Tyne, UK89 contributionsI occasionally pop in here when in town for lunch, and it is a really nice place to lose money!
There are plenty of tables to try your luck, as well as lots of machines with various games. I admit to being bewildered by the bandits - they're not like the old seaside machines, that's for sure! - but I do love a little flutter on the roulette machines. The seats are comfy, there's room for your drink from the well-stocked bar, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that you don't feel pressured into playing. The staff I have encountered have all been really pleasant, and it's a fun place to drop in.Written August 23, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is perhaps not the most stylish casino we have ever visited but the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a good atmosphere on both of the nights we visited. We enjoyed a drink here after dinner on the way back to our hotel.Written May 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LauraDaveJamesSolihull, UK4,246 contributionsWe decided to walk to the casino from the Crowne Plaza hotel which was perhaps a mistake as it wasn’t the easiest of walks.
It was fast and efficient to enter even though we had forgotten our membership cards.
We enjoyed a bottle of prosecco in the bar area. It made a pleasant end to our evening.Written June 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately we’d just ordered food before an employee said children had to be out by 7pm. We should have been informed of this when we entered.
The food ordered were more like snacks than meals and were nothing special. The adult and child had a Mocktail and I had a nice cocktail. The golf was fun and it’s a good cold, rainy day activity.Written December 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Claire was so helpful, joining us up and re issuing a card for me who’s been a.former member in Manchester before it closed down! The staff were extremely friendly, food gorgeous and the wine went down a treat. Didn’t win much, but we had a brilliant night and will re visit next time we’re in the North East xxxWritten June 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
