There are heaps of food options here for under ten pounds... heaps of quirky little english shops and places to sit and eat... I'd beware of pick pockets but it's a nice place to go and eat... and have a mingle/look

As I was staying in Shoreditch, Brick Lane wasn't that far to walk from my hotel. I was very lucky with the weather and went there early on a Sunday morning so it wasn't too busy. The Lane has plenty of cafe's restaurants, shops and boutiques, but is famous for the street art which is incredible. Well worth a visit if you are in that part of London.

Dennis Severs' House is strange and mysterious - so if you're expecting a typical museum with explanatory plaques and brightly lit artwork, you'll be surprised! You are led into a dark residential house, elaborately decorated with historical pieces. It feels more like a theatre or film set than something historically accurate but you can imagine Miss Haversham living here. For that, it is fascinating and eerily wonderful. Visiting at Christmas felt special, as the Victorian-era rooms were reminiscent of Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. Please note: because the building is listed, the museum is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues, which is unfortunate. There also is not a bathroom on site.

We cabbed from central London on a Sunday to check out this market. It was fun and interesting, though nothing really stands out. We saw everything from furniture to record albums to vintage clothing, and every type of prepared food you can imagine. We samples some mini-waffles with sugar and cinnamon, some chicken dumplings and coffee served out of an old black cab. It was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours and we will definitely return on a future trip to London. After we finished this market, we walked to the Columbia Street Flower Market which was full of...wait for it...flowers. It was a good way to spend time seeing a part of London that otherwise we likely would not have seen.

It has been many years since our last visit here, but the food hall continues to impress. There is so much variety and dishes available from all over the world. Looking forward to coming here again!

Worth getting inside to see just how grand this building is! It is currently open on Sunday afternoons - but check the website to avoid disappointment. It is pretty amazing - bright and spacious. As well as a modern Anglican congregation using it as a church building, it is also used for events and filming - and you can see why!
Hard to believe that this Grade I listed building had to be saved from demolition, but it costs a fortune to maintain (as all similar buildings do).
Built in 1729 as one of the 50 (that turned out to be 12) parish churches commanded by Queen Anne, it is very impressive.

It was a fun community place and had a lot of great street art. Visited many times. Remember it as a vacant lot, then the community gardens and now back to an empty by fenced-off lot where they are developing on.... goodbye community garden....

It was nice stroking the Donkeys. They have lots of them here and goats too, along with smaller animals, ie geese, ducks etc. Also enjoyed sitting in the garden area

While a flea market type activity today the place has historical significance.

Only market allowed open on Sunday as all shop owners were originally Jewish.

As such, they were allowed to to open on Sunday as their Sabbath ws Friday PM and Saturday AM.

Great tour, it was the second one for me after 5 years and I enjoyed it as much as the previous one, the artworks change costantly and we also saw an artist doing his tag in real time. Don't miss it if you're in London!
