- Jemma GLondon, UK823 contributionsVisited for parkrun, taking in the steep uphill mile and a bit path and back down again. The top affords amazing views of Bristol, the path is a mixture of tarmac and unmade gravel. There are toilets and the cafe is nice, lots of choice including for vegans. Coffee is so-so, prices are pretty steep but service was really good. And there’s a 10% discount for parkrunners on a Saturday morning. Parking here can be tricky at busier times.Written March 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vicki PCroydon33 contributionsVery much enjoyed our visit - amazing how much they've fitted into a relatively small space, and lots of interesting information available. A great deal to see at all times of the year, and I'd like to return earlier in the year when the peonies are out. Thought the prehistoric section was very impressive, and the Chinese medicine area very interesting. Friendly staff at the entrance gate and in the tea room. It won't keep you going all day, but it was a relaxing morning's visit which we really enjoyed. Students (at any institution, not just Bristol) get in free.Written July 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Drew StilesBristol, UK16 contributionsI first discovered the Royal Fort Gardens pre-COVID in 2020, and as restrictions have allowed I have re-visited this fantastic location which is visited by a variety of people.Written August 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
