Fantastic bikes from Miss Noy rental. We have had the Honda Click 125 for two days and thoroughly enjoyed riding around Pakse and Champasak province. The bikes are like new with helmets and a padlock. Excellent service with hand drawn maps and personal advice on things you can do along your way. I would 100% recommend.

We rented two motorbikes at Miss Noy during five days. Yves is full of advices and the evening meeting the day before is definitely a must ! The motorbikes were in a really good condition (I've never had such good brakes ). You can keep the bike for as long as you want, just enjoy !
I recommend to go there, we enjoyed the Bolaven's Plateau !

Booked a motorbike to rent with this rental and they told us to come at 6pm for explanation of the loop. When we went back there must’ve been 12 other people there and the talk was SO helpful they give you a map and explain everything there is to know - the man explaining is funny and knowledgeable about the area. Couldn’t have asked for any more - he even made sure we were comfortable driving the motorbike round the block.

Mr. Yves and Miss Noy are very friendly and gave us a lot of information on the Bolaven Loop. He took a lot of time for us, so we were well prepared for the trip.
We rented two semi automatic bikes for a good price. They worked very well!
Other than that, they helped us get the right bus in the north. We had the feeling that we could ask them everything and they would help us.

Incontournable Miss Noy for a successful stay in Paksé! Even though Yves is Belgian (nobody's perfect... ;-) ) he provides plenty of valuable advice on places worth to visit around Paksé (especially a comprehensive tour in the Bolavens) and helps you organize your trip beyond. In addition, very good value for money motorbikes. Keep going!!

Too many bike thieves now operate in the area and in my opinion it is too risky to rent a bike for the big and small loops. I followed Miss Noys advice and instructions exactly and still my bike was stolen from a secure Guesthouse. Miss Noy made me pay for the bike which was highly unfair. This was not the first, second or third bike to be stolen that week!! I would advise people to think again before renting a bike from here. The risk is just too great for backpackers on a budget.

I only used Miss Noy's services for transportation from Pakse to Luang Prabang, and for the most part everything was great! Miss Noy was so lovely, very helpful and friendly. They even have a shower you can use before you head off so you can start your journey fresh! So what a shame it was that about 5 minutes before we left Yves had to ruin the whole experience - I asked him as I was gathering my bag whether or not the coach had WiFi. To which he replied in a particularly snotty tone and loud enough for half the shop to hear "oh yes, and it's got a helicopter and a swimming pool...this is Laos, what do you want??"
Well for a start, a bit of respect would be nice.
Now I'd like to just point something out- of the 5 coaches I'd taken around Laos and Cambodia before this, 4 had WiFi. And that makes my question a reasonable one. So on that note perhaps it's not great to belittle people and make them out to be spoilt, bratty little westerners and just respond with "No I'm afraid they don't have WiFi". I couldn't imagine speaking to my customers like that.
So in summary, the bus journey was fine, I recommend the service but just make sure you speak to Miss Noy and give her worse half a very wide berth.

We arrived in Pakse looking to ride around the Bolavan Plateau on motorbikes. We had found Miss Noy Motorbikes on the web and attended their daily briefing session at 6pm that night. The session was run by Yves (Miss Noy’s husband). Yves spent around 45 mins telling us all the do’s and don’ts of riding in Laos and where to go. He is very direct and has a very dry sense of humour, which we thoroughly enjoyed, but even more important was that we found the information he shared with us invaluable.
He provided us two bikes and we spent the first day going to Champasak to see how we would get on with the bikes and riding in Asia. We found it very enjoyable and although the traffic appears to be chaotic, it is actually very forgiving as people look to go with the flow.
Following this we did the short loop (3 days) around the plateau, which was fantastic. We even found ourselves passing on the advice from Yves to other people who had not attended his sessions to help them around the plateau.
And finally a BIG THANK YOU to Yves and Miss Noy, you made us very welcome in Pakse and helped us make the Bolavan Plateau motorbike ride the highlight of our 3 week visit to Laos and Vietnam.
Cheers

My husband and son rented a motorbike from Miss Noy after reading all the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor...we we're not disappointed.
Yves is a fantastic and honest guy who will not allow you to rent a bike until you prove yourself with a test run. He explains everything and gives you a detailed map of where you want to go with sound advice and a great sense of humour! Miss Noy is a lovely lady who makes you feel at ease and very welcome. Together they offer the best service you could ask for in Pakse.... We will be back!

Such a shame that they decided to take an extra long lunch the day we turned up to do business. The sign said they would be back after one, we waited until nearly two then gave up and went else where. Obviously due to the popularity through these web sites they are not too fussed about staying open as they have plenty of business.

Sabaide Deb,
I'm surprise by your review. We never close anymore our shop for the lunch time since more than two years.
Are you sure you rent your bike with us, Miss Noy and Yves (Belgian guy)? And not with our neighbour.
Best Regards,
Yves and Miss Noy

How big of a risk is there of motorbikes being stolen? If you follow the instructions of Miss Noy are you expected to pay the replacement costs of the bike? My husband and I are currently trying to decide if we want to rent bikes or not but are worried about blowing our budget if the bike gets stolen. I also don't want to have to worry about rushing at things like waterfalls for fear of the bike being stolen. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We'd like to go to the Bolaven Plateau and do the Big Loop by motorbike/scooter. I've two questions:
1. One of us doesn't have a driver's license, is that a problem for renting a scooter or in case the police stops you?
2. If you rent an (semi-)automatic scooter at Miss Noy, are the scooters somehow insured? (or can you pay for an insurance?

We would like to rent an automatic motorbike for about 12 days to go to 4,000 islands and Champasak. How much would it cost? Thank you,

Automatics are indeed a bit more expensive than semi’s. We paid about 90.00 KIP a day for a Scoopy.
Are you sure you want to drive all the way to the four thousand islands? I’ve seen motorbike rental places on Don Khone and on the mainland just before the ferry. This way you can avoid the 150km road to there. Champasak can be visited as a day trip by scooter from Pakse (that road is new and nearly empty).
