Nice bike tour
kwi 2018 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
I have been here with my bike several times. It is an incredible peaceful place where you can sit and let your thinking run free. It is a cemetery therefore I always like to honour these poor young lives lost but I also think it is a beautiful place to be.
During a sunny day it is perfect

Tragic liberators
lut 2017 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
In itself this war cemetary is much like other war cemetaries. With 257 graves it is of average size. What makes this cemetary special is of course that it only has Polish graves. Most are from the first Polish tank division, but there are also quite a few RAF pilots. The Poles played a major part in the liberation of the low countries. Tragically, their efforts were not rewarded with a free Poland, which fell to the Soviet Union (Warschau pact) after WWII. For that, I think one can take a little time to pay them your respect.

Pay your respects to the forgotten heros
maj 2016 • Znajomi
This is a very small cemetery with 2 Jewish headstones and 255 crosses. It is well marked and well taken care of. Explanations is English, Polish and French outside the gate. Take the time to honour those that gave their lives so that we could be free.
Glad that I took the time to drive to this spot.

Special
kwi 2015 • Pary
On this cemetery are 257 graves of Polish soldiers, who died on Belgian soil during World War II. It is not that impressive as the German Cemetery nearby, but nevertheless you should visit whilst in Lommel.
Next to the graves there is a sculpture made by Marion Wnuk (Polish artist) which adds a special atmosphere to this cemetery.
