The vodka is smooth, the joint inviting

Or is the joint smooth, and the vodka inviting? We tried a couple of the house-designed cocktails, which were all very nice. But I preferred the classic martini with the 100 proof small batch Dave had on hand, with a tasty olive. Great way to start my weekend.

we were looking for a late-night place for a drink that wasn't a sports bar and, after looking through the window, thought this would be perfect. it was! it is the first distillery in manhattan since prohibition, and vodka is made on site. the bartenders, paul and nory, were very informative about the history of the place, open only 2 months when we were there. not a tv in sight!!! good selection of spirits, and the wines and craft beers are from new york state. nice atmosphere for a drink on your own, special date, or meeting up with friends.
