This is a typical Ripleys museum with many interesting odd things to see. There is a restroom halfway through the museum. Museum is small, we spent about an hour here. We also did the mirror maze on a combo ticket. Maze was small and mirrors needed cleaning. A fun place to visit Ripley’s and be in air conditioning for a while.

It was a really nice place don't get me wrong, just alot smaller than I thought it would be. There was a nice mirror maze and as always Ripleys cool facts and artifacts were super interesting.

There are a lot of positives about the "museum..." There are several really cool oddities on display that you're not going to find at a standard museum. There are also a lot of interactive activities, mostly just for laughs. The end of the exhibit is also a nice surprise (not going to give spoilers). It's more of an attraction than a museum and is decent for what it is. However, although a lot of the exhibits are cool, most have no description other than describing exactly what it is. Not much history or science to be found here. It's also very quick. I experienced all of the exhibit in around 1/2 hour, which for the price is a fairly bad value (I went using a GO pass so I did not have to be disappointed by the value).
If it's part of a pass, it's worth running through. You'll see things you may not have ever seen or thought of. But do not pay full price, even if you have kids with you. There are better ways you can spend your money, such as a tour or cruise that gives actual information about where you are. The other problem with Ripley's San Francisco is that it could have been anywhere. There was no local information or oddities, which was disappointing.

Our children of 5 and 9 really enjoyed this museum. My wife and I also enjoyed it but it was mostly for them. There were more exhibits to see than I thought there would be and we spent about an hour here. The mirror maze got scary. My wife didn't want to do it so I went in with the kids and we went arond in circles for about 10 minutes before I just wanted to get out! We found the entrance where we walked in and exited there. I wouldn't recommend the mirror maze unless you have a lot of time and don't let little kids go off by themselves in there! The worst part about the whole thing museum is the girl at the front desk who couldn't be bothered to look up from her phone when taking the tickets. Great experience other than that.

I've heard a few things about this place and decided not to take my young son. There's a whole heap of weird stuff from skeletons of wax mannequins of real weird people to coffins and matchstick models. There's elephants made of tires and images of all sorts. But there are videos and experiences which I'm not even sure are suitable for ten year olds. If you like history and weird stuff, you'll enjoy. This one also has the mirror maze and laser game which my ten year old enjoyed. It's just a bit too adult, despite there being a large Optimus prime and iron man at the entrance. $45 for the two
Of us, not bad for an hour or so attraction.

We decided to go to the Believe it or not Museum as we had a groupon for it. We had a great time. The staff were great and very helpful. There are so many neat exhibits to see and fun interactive things to do. The one way mirrors are so funny! We also paid extra to walk through the mirror room, which was fun and different! I would visit again!

It says it’s open to 10PM but I show up at 9 and it’s closed. So I go back the next day and ask when they close and they say 10. They just closed early on Sunday because of low traffic. But open to 10 tonight for sure. So I show up at 9 and, CLOSED!

I now see that “Believe it Or Not” applies to what they tell me to my face.

My 10 year old and 14 year old wanted to do this since we couldn't get Alcatraz tickets. We parked in a lot and it cost $50 ($10.00 tax!!) We walked a few blocks to the museum. We ended up getting the mirror maze and laser too. The kids loved the fun exhibits, especially the shrunken heads, light tunnel, and funny tricks with interactive exhibits. My kids have read the Ripley's books so the type of item they would see is something that excites them. Perfect activity for my boys and my 17 year old thought it was funny. Restrooms are halfway through. The mirror maze was very fun. The Lazer maze was enjoyable for the kids. All in all I would recommend it.

I haven't been to Ripley's since i was a kid, like 20 years ago. I went as part of a field trip and it was really cool. So I thought it would be fun to take my wife and kids since we were in SF. I was amazed first at the ticket price. Ouch. Then when we got to the main exhibit I was truly amazed that almost nothing has changed in the last 20 years! Yes, I know Ripley is dead, but maybe it was just more impressive before the internet and youtube let kids see top 10 lists of amazing stuff from around the world for free in their living room. It is supposed to be a kid centered museum but you have to read basically everything and my 8 and 9 year old weren't really dedicated enough to read every sign of interest in the place. They added a laser game and a mirror maze after the main exhibit, but the laser game can be found in any decent arcade. The mirror maze was entertaining and fun, but the lighting will hurt your eyes and it doesn't really make the whole attraction/experience worth while. It will be fun for adults and older kids who care at all, but don't bother with this unless you've already been to Alcatraz and the Exploratorium; then do this if you're bored and have money to burn.

P.S. Don't buy the 9D or whatever it is, movie ticket attraction. It's all the way at the end of Pier 39, and you will regret it.

We could have spent hours in this attraction. So fascinating and cool. Mirror maze was a bit of a let down. The lazer attraction was kinda fun. Pricey, but I would recommend.
