There's so much to see and do at Carson Park--and a person can choose from indoor or outdoor activities, or solo or group activities! The Chippewa Valley Museum is awesome, and so is the lumberjack museum--fun for both kids and adults. Catch a ball game at the Stadium, or have a picnic at one of the MANY shelters or small playgrounds. There are trails to walk your dog, bike paths to ride, and tons of areas to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Rent a canoe and paddle around Half-Moon Lake--or try your luck at fishing. Hooray for Carson Park! A really special place in a beautiful city.

Is it probably one of the best things to do if you don't want to spend money on a zoo. We saw a lot of animals and loved that we could drive around to see the zoo since it's very large. We come back again and bring the family.

This well established park has almost everything for a family to enjoy. It has a large playground, picnic areas- large and small with shelters. There are modern, well maintained restrooms through out the park. Sports are not left out if this park. There is a historic baseball stadium which is home to the EC Cavilers and Express. There is also a football stadium as well. If you're into frisbee/disc golf, they got you covered as well. The whole park is set in a wooded area that overlooks Half Moon lake and Braun's pond. In addition, the Chippewa Valley historic museum, is located within the park as well. There are walking and bike paths, nature points of interest. Carson Park hosts a variety of events year long.

We visited Carson Park for a Northwoods League baseball game- it was a great visit! The park is clean, well kept and open to the public. Whether you want to fish, watch a game, explore local history, or just have sit for lunch, Carson Park is a great local park.

Old Northwoods League (Summer College Wood Bat League) park with great history, stonework and BEST concessions variety in entire Northwoods League.

Not to be missed the season runs from Memorial Day - Mid August.

D1, and high end d2 players make up rosters. Second to Cape Cod League in terms of talent but #1 in League Attendance (NW league).

See a game in Madison and LaCrosse the two most successful teams.

I've been coming to this park since I was a baby. This is a nice, big park. There is a great playground for kids, and trails to walk. The baseball field out there is worth a look. You can also find the Chippewa Valley Museum tucked away in the park, complete with Paul Bunyan Logging Camp. If you go during the summer you can take a miniature train ride. There are also several pavilions you can rent.

If you're there during the operating season, ya gotta ride the train. A nice little trip through the woods that will entertain both the kids, and adults. We rode the streamliner and then hopped aboard the steam train for a second trip! I know where this grandpa would be volunteering if he lived in Eau Claire!

Carson Park is a gem in the middle of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, surrounded by Half Moon Lake. It offers scenic picnic areas, playground equipment, and hiking, biking, and running trails. It is also home to an historic baseball stadium built by President Roosevelt's New Deal which saw the likes of Billy Bruton, Wes Covington, and Joe Torre perform here. In addition, baseball's true home run king, Hank Aaron, spent his first season in professional baseball here, and the plaza outside the stadium remembers Hammering' Hank with a bust dedicated in his honor. On summer Sundays and holidays, a replica steam engine recalls Eau Claire's railroad history and provides young and old alike with an enjoyable ride through the park. The park is also home to two excellent mueseums dedicated to local history. The Chippewa Valley Museum provides a glimpse of local and area history with many informative exhibits and an old fashioned ice cream parlor. The Paul Bunyan Lumber Camp Museum pays tribute to the logging history of the area with an 1890's replica of a logging camp. Both are high quality small museums and provide an interesting and informative look at the history of this area.

A great venue for drum corps. Not a bad seat anywhere. The grounds were neatly kept and the bathrooms were clean.
