About
Located in the old marble bank on one of the four corners of downtown Bennington, Fiddlehead at Four Corners is a fine art and contemporary craft gallery that features handmade wares from studio artists across North America. We feature blown glass, pottery, jewelry, wood, metal, music, oil paintings, film photography and fiber. We have turned the old gold vault into the world's only "Graffiti Vault" with chalkboard walls and invite customers to "Chalk It Up!" -- an endeavor that has led to 3 self-published books by manager Joey Kulkin. Another vault -- the "Brew Vault" features vintage breweriana while the mezzanines are used for children's art classes. All of the remnants of the bank, opened in 1929, add to the decor, from the 7 brass chandeliers to the original marble counter and floors to the guard's bird nest to the teargas ducts. Fiddlehead began as a mom and pop endeavor in 1997 in a small studio owned by Joel and Nina Lentzner, who graduated from Bennington College in 1991. See you soon!

We had so much fun at this place! It's like an art gallery, but with so much more stuff to do...there's an old bank vault where you can write on the walls with chalk, my daughter played their baby grand piano for at least 20 minutes...and they've got a vintage pinball machine (free) in another vault. Their prices were very very good, we bought a large pitcher by an artist from New Hampshire that I had seen at a craft show in Manhattan and saved about $20. The red-haired guy at the counter shipped it for us since we were traveling. When we got home a couple weeks later, there was a message from him on our machine asking if the package arrived safely. Great customer service!

What a great place --- creativity galore in a repurposed setting of bygone elegance. Banks aren't designed with this kind of architectural dignity anymore. We were so glad that this significant marble building has been successfully transformed into an artisans' gallery. We visited on the afternoon of October 20th, and the young man.staffer was so charming, personable, and fun - glad we stopped in!

Fiddleheads is a fabulous shopping experience if you are looking for original art including glass, ceramics and paintings. It's located in an old bank in the center of town. I found several affordable gift items. The service was great and the general vibe was excellent. This is a must see when you go to Bennington.

Some very nice artesian items, but not all from Vermont. If you want a souvenir from a Vermont artist make sure you ask first before buying.

I could spend hours in this place. It's a combination art gallery, pottery and home goods store that sells some chocolate things and offers great conversation. We found an anniversary gift for our daughter here. We also noticed works from a potter from Colorado whose stuff we have in iur home. Local artists are readily seen here, but work from all over the country is featured. Housed in an old bank, the vault now contains a box of chalk and some blackboard walls for you to leave your own art or message. Plenty of parking in municipal lots right around the corner (parallel to Main St, one block north). Spend an hour, spend two...but enjoy the paintings and pottery.

Fiddle head is my go-to store when I need to find a tasteful gift for picky people. There are all price ranges from $25 to much higher. The store provides a nice gift bag with tissue paper free-of-charge. The glass pieces and pottery are more contemporary than you will find at most Vermont galleries, but you can still find the ubiquitous cow oil paintings here.

Yea. I'm very late on leaving my positive feedback on here. O:-)

Back when my brother was living up there in Vermont, I've been hearing that they've been buying a lot from there & it got me curious on what was so special about some art store. I checked it out on Google street view & it looked good. I checked their Facebook page & they had a lot of good/great stuff in their photos & when I heard that my brother was planning to move to Florida, it made me want to go check it out.

The more my brother & his family went there & the more photos Fiddlehead posted on FB, the more I wanted to go. Pretty soon, September finally arrived and I wanted to go there badly. Sadly we got there about 5-6 PM that day (September 27th) and they were either closed for the day or on their dinner break.

Finally the 28th arrived & I finally got to go in there to check it out. I drew in their chalk vault & saw those soap that I've been eyeing & found out they've been holding on to my favorite color so I bought it, they wrapped it up, & I was the happiest Floridian in Vermont to buy what I wanted from there.

The cashier was very friendly, they got a lot of good/great stuff there, & I would highly recommend anyone to go there. Try not to window shop on Street view because the best part is going in and purchasing it in person. Trust me, you'll thank yourself for it. If I'm right, you got Fiddlehead to thanks & if I'm wrong, then I'm the one to blame because I fell in love with the store like as if I was the contestant to get on stage on The Price is Right (or like a customer running for a great deal at a shoe store).

It's located at the Northwest end of the 4 Corners intersection at the heart of Bennington Vermont and there's available parking not far from Fiddlehead in case the parking space near the building are all taken. Thank you Fiddlehead At Four Corners for having your place exist in the town where I was born and raised at & keep up the great work.

The selection is great and love all the handmade art. This was one of the few stores in Bennington that greets with a smile. I will be back when I get to travel back to Vermont with my brother again.
