I am one of those people who find themselves busily ensconced in the hustle bustle and demands of the 21st Century working in the legal profession– at most times under stressful conditions and with an eye on the clock to ensure that deadlines are met.
So it was with some trepidation when I discovered that my beautiful wife had decided to interfere in my stressful work routine and uplift my sagging spirits by booking us both in to Piaf Spa for what she called a “Nourishment Rendezvous”.
Piaf Spa as I discovered lies atop a beautiful Mountain (called Toolabwyong or “place of the mists” by the indigenous inhabitants). This beautiful mountain is situated directly above the area where the famous Healesville Sanctuary is located. By the way we also went to the Sanctuary on our way and it was amazing!
From the minute we arrived at the mountain top and set eyes on Piaf Spa, I felt that we were somewhere special –ambience set in. Mountain ash and Mana Gums of immense height and beauty, temperate forest ferns that stood up to 30 feet amid them and the lyre birds amid native bushes and flowers all around.
That was only the start of things to come.
All I can say is that from the moment I first met the staff to the minute we departed and were bid farewell by them, my whole outlook on life changed and my stress levels diminished to what I feel are normal. For now at least.
First after changing into a robe we were taken to an outside secluded cove looking down on the rain forest where a spa awaited – there we sat and relaxed for 30 minutes.
Next we were taken to a rustic table once again located outside for a dining treat consisting of platters with various cheeses, dates, grapes, meats, and so on. Once again, as with the spa, we were alone amid the tranquillity of the mountain setting, ferns lyre birds etc.
After that treat we entered the Spa building for the massage segment. Well all I can say is that for two and one half hours head, shoulders, back, feet, hands all went under a rejuvenation that defies explanation other than to describe it as being akin to “floating in air”.
As is my way – after the visit I looked up the web site and it is all explained there. Trust me – it is an understatement!
In conclusion this treatment I had, at the place I visited, will live in my memory for a long time as one of the most beautiful experiences ever.
And to the staff may I say – you were fantastic – unobtrusive yet always there for us – thank you so much.

Went here with my husband for a last minute spa afternoon over the long January weekend. Everything was perfect from the pre arrival information through to arriving and of course the wonderful treatments.
Andrew (who owns the spa) was lovely and great to chat to about the history of the spa and all of the work he has done to make it what it is today.
We had a wonderful and private experience in the spa outside which is just the most idyllic, peaceful and beautiful setting amongst the trees with views to the mountain behind. The couples room where our treatments took place was beautiful with huge glass windows out to the forest beyond, and the tranquil sound of running water and birdsong.
The treatments we had were a fantastic full body massage and also a facial. The treatments were skilfully and beautifully carried out and we were whisked away into a world of relaxation for a couple of hours. My husband says that it was one of the best massages he has ever experienced, we both left feeling super relaxed which was the aim and Piaf day spa certainly helped us to achieve that.
We didn't really want to leave right away and we were able to hang around in the gorgeous gardens for a while with a refreshing cup of ginger and lemongrass tea whilst watching the wildlife. Sadly we didn't see the elusive Lyrebird on this occasion - but we'll definitely be returning for more rest and relaxtion too in the wonderful hands of Piaf day spa. Thank you for a great experience.

A hidden oasis settled amongst acres of lush Yarra Valley rainforest. Our treatment - The Bamboo Interlude was a perfect balance of remedial and relaxation and a serene top to toe experience which left our skin as smooth as silk. Our therapists were skilled, attentive and we left feeling balanced, energized and eagerly planning our return.

Whenever you visit the amazing Yarra Valley, this place is a definite must-do. Nestled in the beautiful forest above Healesville, you begin to relax the moment you drive in. I booked in for a 'nourishment rendezvous' package with a friend and certainly was not disappointed.

Piaf has a hydrospa, nestled among ferns with a stunning forest outlook, and this is where we began our treatment - complete with champagne and a private oasis.

We then enjoyed being pampered from head to toe with a facial, hands and feet treatment. Having begun to unwind in the spa, I felt myself relaxing every part of my body as expert therapists exfoliated and rehydrated my tired skin.

As if that wasn't enough, we came out from the treatment room to a delicious platter prepared just for us: cheese, cold meats and fruits complimented with crackers and another drink. The staff at Piaf really know how to spoil someone!

I couldn't fault my experience; the professionalism of staff who clearly know how to treat clients well, with picture-perfect surroundings and indulgent products combined to give me one of the loveliest experiences I've had in a long time.

I will definitely be back!

Thank you staff at Piaf Day Spa for a much needed relaxation experience. My friend Glenice and I were booked for the three and a half hour Nourishment Rendezvous treatment. We knew as soon as we arrived that we were in for an absolute treat. The detail to our comfort was obvious from the beginning. A lovely greeting.
Slippers provided. Cold Water to sip. Security lockers for our belongings and even bags provided for our wet bathers. We popped our dressing gowns on to be taken to the spa. The ambiance of the hydrospa took our breath away. Partially open to the beautiful rainforest and the wonderful native bird sounds, surrounded by tall gums and lush ferns. Afterwards floating back to dry off and change into fresh dressing gowns then guided into the stunning massage room by our welcoming therapists. Comfortable massage beds, soothing music, content in the hands of our professional therapists we relaxed into our amazing treatment, a sublime mixture of face, neck and skull massage with the added delight of special treatments for our hands and feet all with the wonderful Waterlily Spa specialist products. Afterwards a glass of champagne followed by sumptuous food platters. Bread, speciality biscuits, dips, cheeses, olives, dates, various cold meats along with a lovely arrangement of exotic fruits and berries. I loved that Katrina our hostess took the time to explain the delicacies to us. All finished up with a refreshing herbal tea. What a view. What a team. What a day. Thank you Piaf Day Spa. I'll will be back.

This was my second visit to Piaf Day Spa because my very caring daughter gifts me with this for Mother's Day and Birthday over the last two years and it has been the best for relaxing and winding down not just for me but my daughter. It took the whole afternoon but was probably around 3 hours in total of attention given by the very caring massage staff who were very careful to me in particular. We would definitely be back sometime soon.

I booked a spa session & massage package for my friend and I as it was her birthday. The lady on the phone at the time of booking was a little abrupt but not too bad.
The place was not easy to find as the sign on the side of the road was quite inconspicuous & GPS wasn't working properly due to poor reception (which they did warn us about). As a result we had some difficulty locating and arrived 5 mins before the scheduled start time (they advised 10 minutes). I apologised however the lady was really quite rude & didn't respond, just shoved a form at me & told me to fill it out. She didn't even acknowledge my friend whose birthday it was. The rest of the appointment was much the same & I was dismayed to find out she would be my masseuse after the spa. I have to say though the natural surroundings are gorgeous although the interior of the place is a bit tired.
The massage was average & I was honestly weary of making requests or asking questions due to her extremely icy demeanour, I felt like I was back in high school trying not to get disciplined by the principal. Lighten up love. A bit ironic to have a person that unfriendly & serious working in an industry that supposedly specialises in making people feel relaxed and peaceful. Won't be back.

My first impression of this place was not good when I called to redeem a voucher and the girl was very rude even before I asked them to extend the voucher by 5 days.
She did agree and I booked in for treatment that cost more than the voucher was for.
I arrived and was disheartened when read a sign that said before entering please remove shoes and put on slippers provided. The slippers provided were like the hotel style that are usually used once , these were dirty and had obviously been worn so I interned without them as I never would wear shoes other people have worn.
I was then told greeted upon entry not with “hello and welcome” but with “ you need to put slippers on , when I replied they were dirty she said oh then wear these and gave me another 2nd hand dirty pair.
I changed although was reluctant the rove was old scratchy and filthy ( pics provided)and waited for my treatment and watched as same girl didn’t even say to guests leaving “ have a nice day , or hope you enjoyed your treatment .
I then went to have treatment which was fine girl was nice treatment ok not best not worst so fair enough.
When I returned to room to give voucher and pay I mentioned the dirty slippers again but was ignored .
I go to lots of day spas and this is the dirtiest one ever and the lady was so awfully rude which is a shame .
There are such beautiful spas in the area particularly at wineries so wouldn’t ever bother and would warn you to bypass this .

We were heading off to Melbourne for a week and I spotted this Groupon voucher for 2 hours of pampering in the Yarra Valley at Healsville. So,after checking with my husband (like all good wives do :)) to see if we are staying anywhere near Healsville I hinted that 2 hours of pampering would be great after our road trip. You know, I would be more relaxed was my pitch to my husband. Well, to my surprised he shouted me this package :).

After winding through the narrow road amongst the tall trees just out of Healsville I entered the Piaf Day Spa which was set amongst ferns, tall trees and beautiful bushes. Nothing really flash to look at really but very relaxing.

Shoes off at the door, then shown into a bedroom where you change into a white robe. You place your belongings into a locked compartment which you are then given the key. A lovely cup of herbal tea and water to follow before being escorted into the treatment room. I was being pampered with a 1 hour massage, 15 min foot treatment and 45 min Spa.

Nicole was my therapist. Now, I have had many massages in my time (and I'm not saying how long my time is) BUT this massage was the best I have ever had. OMGoodness. Nicole was fantastic, her hands never left you, pressure was great. I asked for firm and that is what I got. It was all about ME. Finished off with this fantastic feet treatment which consisted of massaging your feet, coating them with cream then wrapping them in cloth for a certain time.

Changed back into my robe then escorted outside amongst the tall trees to hop into the spa for 45 mins. I thought I was in heaven listening to nothing except the birds and the bubbling of the water from the spa thinking I must bring my daughter and granddaughter back here for a treat.

It was the best pampering experience I have had. Congratulations to Amanda the owner and the girls especially Nicole for the service.

BTW: If you would like a glass of champagne, just ask Amanda. I had one after the Spa (well I had to fit in some time before my husband returned to pick me up, that's my excuse, Ciao.)

What an amazing birthday, thanks Marnie and your fantastic team. 8 of my family decided to indulge in a girls day of luxury together, and went like this.....
We drove into an Oasis of rainforest gardens and mud brick buildings. Marnie gave us a warm welcome where we sat had a drink before changing into robes and slippers and headed down a stone path to our relaxing private outdoor spa overlooking the gardens drinking champagne. Then it was off for a massage and facial, all suited to our individual requests, the girls were awesome and it was the best massage I've had in a long time. We finished with a relaxing tea sitting in front of a warm fire. Marnie gave us recommendations for lunch and sent us off with a lovely farewell and we all felt fantastic. I'd recommend Piaf for individuals, couples or groups. Just phone Marnie and she'll look after you with whatever you're after. Thanks Piaf I had the best birthday ever cheers Sharyn
