Covid19 affected the area as shops are closed and the activities are not avail.
They need to bright it and fresh the area up
The whale tails were new to me and I thought that kind of sculptures and colors need to expand. The grass area is nice.
It will get better

We really enjoyed our time in Nelson Bay and this motel is perfectly positioned right across from the Marina. Everything is only a few steps away. The rooms are spacious and clean and secure parking is a bonus. You need a key to enter the lift so you know you’re safe and secure. Highly recommend.

We always enjoy a stroll around the marina when we visit the Bay. The area is always clean and tidy. This weekend we sat and watched all the boats coming back to the marina (fishing comp) with their weigh-ins. An ice cream whilst walking along the jetty is always a favourite. Worth the time to appreciate what the area has to offer.

We dropped in to have a look around the marina. We found having to pay for parking very annoying. We feel for the tourists and locals alike it should be timed parking with electronic surveillance. If you go over time, you get booked. It just seems like a local government revenue raising activity.
As for the Marina it was very quiet, being winter and with COVID. A lot of the shops were closed.
We had a walk along the marina and looked at the boats.

Nice little marina to have a wander. All sorts of different boats there and its where all the whale watching etc leave from.
Several cafe, bars and restaurants there. Paid parking so park up the street for free.

We went there on a cold day. Waters calm. There was trouble brewing or brewed for us by security. We wanted to take photos. Rudely told us not to. The water is polluted. Shopping is not recommend in these expensive stores.

Depending on the time of day, there is plenty to see and do. Shops, eateries, activities, boats to view. On New year's eve thousands of people gathered on the marina and nearby shores for an excellent fireworks display

The boat yard and marina was absolutely first class. The staff who helped us at the boat yard went above and beyond what they should have done. We cannot recommend the marina and boat yard more highly than totally awesome. Big thanks to Matt and Jen for all their help and expertise.

Strolling along the D'Albora Marinas is an excellent way to enjoy the essence of Port Stephens. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants available. Most of the dolphin and whale tours operate from the marina.

Dear Susan, thank you for taking the time to vent your displeasure after visiting our business. May I respectfully point out just a few things, which we did attempt to do when we were serving you, had you bothered to listen. But firstly, we have a duty of care to all our customers and we take food safety very seriously and we will not, under any circumstances, give misleading advice. If you had heeded our advice you would understand that, as our manufacturers impress upon us, it must be assumed there are traces of nuts in all ice creams as nuts are used in their factory. Susan, this is vital information which you should have listened to instead of babbling on and you should not be so blithe or foolish to allow your allergy-prone grandson to eat a product that may contain traces of nuts. These traces of nuts may be in the product BEFORE it arrives at our shop. Where was your duty of care? We wash all our scoops hundreds of times every day in fresh water. But, as we had to tried explain, because nuts may already be present in the ice cream extra washing is absolutely pointless. Furthermore, as our staff will attest to, you did not "kindly ask" us to wash the scoop at all, you were quite loud, demanding and rude. We were offering important and proper advice Susan and you chose not to take it. Just because we did not jump to your demands this does not make us "arrogant". Loudly asserting that you know better and refusing to take professional advice, this is arrogance. The fact that you have publicly chosen to "review" your (thankfully brief and hopefully only) visit to us is nastiness in itself. We wish you well for the New Year.

What is the parking rate?
DALBORA_Marinas

Hello,
We have four hour parking in our car park and charge $1.30 per hour and $2.70 in peak periods. The council car park might be different, sorry I don't know how much they charge or how long you can park in that one. I hope this helps.
