Real Ale Oasis in a barnyard!
sie 2020 • Pary
Stumbled across this hidden gem after a search through the CAMRA app. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the taxi fare as we had a fantastic afternoon. The beer was excellent, the setting fabulous, and we would heartily recommend a visit. Check opening times before going.

Great Place
lis 2019 • Znajomi
Brilliant little place. Warm friendly welcome from all. Grew up on Hewell Grange but left in 1985. Still visit occasionally. ‘Alestones’ had been recommended by a couple of people and wasn’t disappointed

Fantastic beer and quality bar snacks. Arrived around 4pm and honestly could have stayed in here until closing time

Will be going back

Something different. On a small estate off the Burcot Road and a little bit of joy awaits you ( if you like ales) My first trip and it’s very little bar area area gives it a nice cosy atmosphere... it has a rear sitting area of the older person who is not a standeruper as I am.nice selection of ales and worth a trip out..

Come for the beer and not the wine
lis 2018 • Pary
Quirky real ale outlet in Tardebigge. It’s a shame the one area is always packed with people and the bar location prohibits people in the back rooms feeling they belong.
Also, we don’t all drink beer. So it would be really good if the wine was of a better quality - which I would happily pay for.

Best Drinkers Pub in the whole area
wrz 2018 • Znajomi
A relatively new pub, run by Adrian & Sue Stone. Excellent Craft Beers & Real Ciders. One beer designed by Adrian, called triple S is I am told the best session beer for miles (I am a cider drinker). There are plenty of excellent varied ciders to choose from too. Some snack type foods available the Pork pies look amazing. . Drinking there is a very pleasant experience.

A temple to ale!
cze 2018 • Pary
I have a confession. I knew about this place very soon after it opened. And did nothing about it!
That has been put right today. And I am so pleased that we went along today. Between my wife and I, we tried all the ales that were available. They were in tip-top condition. The service too, very friendly and authentic.
The raison d'etre is straightforward. Four well chosen (and always changing) real ales, perfectly kept and served with a smile.
No keg beer / lager (hurrah!). A selection of wines and ciders. Selections of spirits, mixers and soft drinks. And some crisps and snacks. And a live musician on a Sunday afternoon. A quirky interior with lots of beer related arefacts.
Perfect.

Small but perfectly formed!

I've been here a couple of times, and on both occasions the beer - as well as the atmosphere - was fantastic. Because the place is small and cosy, you can't help but fall into conversation with other drinkers and accidentally stay longer than intended! And why not - the ever-changing selection of ales is excellent, far better than you would find in most larger pubs. It's a proper drinkers' pub with no food served, although you can get snacks such as crisps and pork scratchings. They have various events throughout the year such as live music and comedy nights, which I'm told are great. The second time I went was for a charity quiz, which was great fun.

Probably the best beer in the world
sie 2017 • Znajomi
Quirky, small, fun, friendly, unpretentious. This is a beer lover's delight run by Adrian whose hobby is beer. Always 4 on tap, usually 2 pale and 2 dark, it would be impolite not to sample them all on a single visit. And every time you visit, the beers will be different although Adrian does like his 'Frothblowers'. Alestones also offers about 12 different types of gin and a range of farmhouse ciders.

It's open Thursday - Sunday and it closes at 9.00pm and 3.00pm on a Sunday. Recently the pub has started to feature small bands. The place has only been open a few months and its customers are increasing on a weekly basis.

Thankfully there's no Sky TV here. Neither is there any food although you can get a pork pie from time to time, a bap and a mean bag of pork scratchings.

I quite envy Adrian's job of having to taste different ales from all over the country. From his lean physique he's clearly been doing this for some time and clearly he enjoys it.

Great fun & good beer
kwi 2017 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
What a fun place this is. It is situated in old brick out buildings in Tardebigge. Although the buildings are industrial or farming (was it once part of the old house that forms part of the prison?) it was like walking in to someones front room - except there is a bar!!! I believe they usually have 4 beers on which are changed regularly. As soon as you enter you are immediately drawn into the conversations going on in the room. I was there for a quick couple of pints but got chatting to three groups of people plus the owner. Definitely worth a visit foe the beer and the company. Please note it's only open Thursday through Sunday - and then not all of the time - worth checking the hours before you go

Alestones is pretty unique, a part-time micro pub set in Victorian units run by a character known as Big Ade. Enjoyed by members of CAMRA (as well as us 'normal' folk) Alestones has a family run feel about it. Small but not constrictive, with a good range of beers and ciders which change regularly. Highly recommended.
