Sweet little hideaway
lut 2019 • Dla rodziny
Really a great place to skii with young kids, with plenty of good terrain for the skilled skiier, lower elevation so watch the freeze level on early and late season trips, sno shoe trails make this place cool as well as tubing for the non skiiers

A small little hill perfect for families and beginners. So close to the Cooper Spur Lodge that you cannot beat it! Lots of great snow.

Winter and Summer Destination
cze 2016 • Pary
This is a small ski area but ideal for beginners and snowshoers. The hidden wonder is 9.5 miles up the hill as Cloudcap open in summer over a maintained Forest Service gravel road. The views of Mt. Hood, Rainier, St. Helens and Adams is spectacular at this near timberline place. The road up passes thru several miles of a wildfire burned area about 3-4 years ago where the regeneration is amazing showing that forest fires are just a part of the cycle. A wonderful lesson for us all. The two cabins were saved from the fire and are used for mountain rescue operations. The parking area and picnic tables can be used for day hikes into the wilderness on this more remote side of Mt. Hood, Highly recommended from the Cooper Spur Mountain Resort.

Perfect for a family of beginners
sty 2016 • Dla rodziny
Cooper Spur is a very small ski area - it has only one lift and a short rope tow. But for our family, where my husband and I are experienced skiiers but our kids have never been, it is perfect. We were able to buy a family season pass for $400, which includes rentals (ie I don't have to buy a bunch of equipment for my kids to find out they hate it). We signed the kids up for lessons their first day; they were okay but fairly large groups so they got something out of it but by the second day we ended up taking the kids ourselves and helping them learn one on one. Eventually the kids will outgrow this resort and want to go elsewhere (I believe that's their plan, you will "graduate" to Mount Hood Meadows, owned by the same people). But for this year at least it is a perfect low-key, less expensive, and friendly way for them to learn.

Snowshoe

We went there to do a snowshoe expedition, they rent everythingthere. It has a nice trail and also a super cosy restaurant. They are the same group of Mt Hood Meadows ( the best mountain to ski).
