Very interesting displays.

The picture that Trip Advisor has for this home is actually the Marland Mansion. This home on Grande Avenue is actually the home that he had while having the Marland Mansion built. The original gardens at this home must have been stunning. They covered about five blocks and a crew of around 27 to 30 men were employed to maintain them. This home displays beautiful furniture as well as unique Indian artifacts and other historical items from the area.

A must see!

A must see! The mansion is beautiful and the grounds are amazing. So glad we went. Very interesting family and history. We visited in May 2020 for we did not get a tour. It was great to be able to see things at a slower pace than on a tour.

Historical and Beautiful

They mansion is kept in pristine condition for its age and the staff did a great job of knowing the details of the residence as well as its owners. The tour was an interesting bit of information that ties in well after visiting the Conoco museum. The only small complaint would be that the tour we took was a little long for two younger kids, which exceeded well over 2 hours. Other than that it was an excellent tour and amazing architecture.

A Nice Visit

This is the first home the legendary oil businessman E. W. Marland built in Ponca City. With Oklahoma’s first indoor swimming pool, it is luxurious even by today’s standards. This historic home obviously has been receiving excellent care and maintenance as the whole property shines with beauty and elegance.

We toured this beautiful home in the morning . Lots of artifacts from the region. A good prelude to seeing the bigger home. Fun to see how Marlands lived in the early part of the 1900’s.

A beautiful reminder of a large house at the turn of the century, circa early 1900s. Stylish with English decor, the Easterner with money made the house comfortable for his wife and her niece and nephew. Now owner by the city of Ponca City, tours are available for $5. The basement level contains an original swimming pool, with all the features ladies and gentlemen might need. There is also a recreation room with a bar and cowboy memorabilia as well as an entire room dedicated to the 101 Ranch and it’s Wild West Show. The 2nd floor showcases numerous items of tribal wear, from tribes throughout the Midwest, as well as delicate lace and the latest indoor plumbing, even the first Freon air conditioner of the region. We will definitely go again! Friendly, informative staff allow you a self guided tour.

The Marlands lived in this home while the Marland mansion was being built. The house is more typical than the mansion and includes items and displays representing the Marland family and the Marland Oil empire of the 1920's. Seniors pay $4

The Marland Grand home was the place where the OIL magnet lived while building the Mansion, which is a must see as well while visiting Ponca City. The Grand home is much more "livable" and represents the upper socio economics of living in that era. The mansion is just so huge and unimaginable to have lived in, and actually they didn't live in the mansion for very long. The indoor pool at the Grand home and the gardens are just the "right" size and is a memorable place to visit, or to have a social gathering..

The grandest if yesteryear

I’ve always admired the Marland Home from the outside, but the inside is even more grand. Mr Marland had an amazing life and the home was so beautifully kept with many of the Marland’s things! We found it to be a very worthwhile visit and was amazed at all the things we discovered about his life. The host the day we visited was gracious and very informative. We bought a video of his life and I would highly recommend it to make the home tour come to life! A must see in Ponca City.
